Can anybody describe a Saban type guy because all I hear from people is that guy is a Saban type player.. I just want to hear a description of a Saban type player?:D
 
a player who respects his coach and plays for him!!! Something Wanny cudnt get out of his players last season :shakeno:
Apart from that i dont really know. Guess its an attitude to discipline and playing to his system.

Versatile, team player, isn't in it to be the STAR player, buys into the schemes, and is willing to do what ever it takes to win(even if it means switching from HB to OT(I know extreme, but I said it to get a point across)). :D
 
I just made this thread because I heard people saying Minor was small and not a Saban type player. However, I know hes a team player and he works his a$$ off and I think that makes him a Saban type player
 
I would say versatile, smart, unselfish, are a few words to describe a Saban type player. Also see Bellechick type player to get an idea.

Zach Thomas for example. An overachiever who does so because of discipline, studying tape/ game plans, and because he plays hard every down no matter what the score.

Bellechick player is what I was thinking too. Character is important like discipline. Example - NOT RANDY MOSS or TERELL OWENS.

nobody knows what a saban type player is so when you do hear that term just let them feel like they know what they are talking about

All kidding aside I think anyone would want Ray for what he does on the field, so what the heck, I guess he could be called a SABAN type player, b/ who in their right minds would turn down a chance at having him.
