i agree man. the phins games are good bargains compared to the games up here. my freind who is a giants fan and came to the Carolina game with me a few weeks ago said the dolphins game was the most fun and overall experience hes ever had at a football game. It actually is a really cool and welcoming experience down there idk why more ppl dont just show up.
 
If the dolphins want to sell tickets in south florida they have to 1) have a huge name player go on national TV and refer to the miami metropolitan area as "south beach" 2) have a huge celebration prior to the season and claim they are going to win more than 5 superbowls 3) sell white shirts 4) SUCCESS! - stands filled with a buncha ppl who look clueless about the sport.

i've seen some seriously enthusiastic ppl at the games down in miami gardens - but the rest of the folks down there - meh.

Your absolutely right. The fact that he is not selling out games is noones fault but his own. I dont feel bad for Ross at all and hopefully the fact he is losing money will make him sell the team. He is currently one of the worst owners in the NFL. Maybe we can get a real owner that puts more enphasis on the football team he owns than trying to create a circus show. He's a joke. Any one of us could probably run the team better than he can - and thats no joke.
 
Someone should tell Ross that when the team stinks at home people don't come to the games. It's not an always thing though and it can't be fixed overnight. Once the team starts winning at home again, people will come. He's just got to shut his pie hole and let the football folks do their jobs (and fire them if they aren't getting it done).
 
Here is an idea, when you go to replace the coach, replace him, don't come home with your tail between your legs and give him an extension. Or when you attempt to change the qb, and promise to bring in competition at the position, actually do it. This crap of coming back and telling the media that you really didn't try to do those things, makes the fans think you are lying fools. Put a winning product on the field, enough of the garbage. People work hard for their money. If you expect them to shell it out for entertainment, they want to be entertained.
 
There is a simple way to sell out all of the games. On September 12th . . . push the New England Patriots around in YOUR house. Show the entire world that the Miami Dolphins are bringing a new, exciting offense to the table along with a defense that wants to be the best defense in the NFL. I guarantee you will not have any worries about selling out the Houston game. Yea, the economy sucks down here and people don't have the money, but people down here love football and they have no problems sitting in the hot sun for the Dolphins if they are playing well. Trust me.

If Miami starts 0-2 and enters the bye week at like 1-3 or 0-4 . . . yea there is a good chance many games will get blacked out this season.
 
"Bring back the days of Dan Marino"?...Hey I've been a die-hard fan since 1969 and outside of the first few years, the Marino era was quite depressing...the organization's failure to build on his talent was no fun to witness year after year.

If Ross really knew what he was talking about, he'd want to bring back the days of Bob Griese...

There is no question a big part of the fans down here is they are still holding on to the Shula/Marino years, and until the Dolphins finally achieve some success in the playoffs . . . it will continue to be a struggle.
 
In reality, Dolphins tickets are relatively cheap compared to the rest of the NFL.

But hey if you talk to certain posters on this board, the Dolphins are doing well in attendance!

How about building a world class stadium in Miami and concentrating more on fielding a winner than selling 1% stakes to celebrity owners that have nothing to do with football? Maybe a dome stadium to help with the heat or one with a retractable roof or open roof design but shaded upper decks. Add an aquarium or something like that. Joe Robbie stadium is obviously showing it's age relative to these new NFL stadiums.

True, let's go down to the Franchise QB store and purchase one. =) I hear they are even having a Labor Day sale.
