Manning scares the crap out of me as I am extremely worried that he will never play again. Though I have to admit that video gave me chills with Schefter calling Manning possibly the "highest profile free agent quarterback ever available in the NFL". Then follows that up with "The Dolphins are the favorites".
Though while he said KC isn't in the picture there was a report today that the Chiefs and Manning's agent have already discussed contract numbers, so they are obviously in play for Peyton.
If they do sign Manning, I still hope they address the position in the draft. There is a realistic chance that Manning would never take a snap in Miami, so they have to be prepared. Obviously Moore would be the starter in 2012 if Manning can't go, but what about down the road? Tannehill at #8 or #9 should still be in play. This isn't the same situation as Indianapolis where they are bringing in a rookie to start from day one. If Manning is healthy, you could have him for three or four seasons and then groom Tannehill to start down the road. Just like the Packers did with Favre and Rodgers.
