Devante Parker Instagram Problem?

I hate to be the old man, but I'm worried this guy is going to get himself killed instagramming and driving. He always posts those "instagram stories" or whatever they are called (the ones that disappear once you view them) of himself driving while recording himself looking at the phone singing along to rap lyrics. It's some serious distracted driving from the looks of it and that is honestly as dangerous and deadly as drunk driving.

I wonder if the organization has reached out to him about this at all?

Yeah I follow him lol. He seems pretty chill at least. A lot of people film them self rolling to music. Ajayis IG is pretty hilarious. He's got a great energy YURP lol

My problem is that he is literally staring into the phone on his lap for several seconds while driving. That is just begging for an accident. It doesn't even look like he is looking at the road.

Parkers IG is honestly the sort thing ever. Every picture or story is exactly how you expained, him bobbing his head to rap. It honestly made me like him less as a player. He needs to hanging with Jarvis and Jay, and start doing what they do.

Although I don't condone distracted driving....these are very young adults guys. Seriously. Even Jarvis listens to rap.....hell he writes his own rap songs (currently unreleased) if what he said in the article posted is true. These guys are still very young and are human.....they all do stupid ****. That age group is so tapped into social media its crazy. Relationships are born and also die through snapchats. Its a different world.

Seriously, what can we do to alert key Dolphins management/coaches to this as a significant safety risk? He has great talent and potential but it is stupid for him to take risks of this nature. I welcome any recommendations re alerting the right people within the organization. Accidents occur when good people do nothing.

Note - I have a heightened awareness of safety risks because I am actually a trauma accident survivor. I was in a coma for 20 days - 5 years ago and was extremely lucky to get a second chance at life.

I have to imagine they would already know, no? Don't teams have security for all their players? They must monitor their social media activity to a degree, especially for their starters.

Makes me wonder if Devante won't be in long term plans. He just doesn't seem to have the kind of dedication that Landry and Stills have. Devante has freakish talent and seems like a good kid, but he doesn't have the growth mindset that Landry and Stills have demonstrated. And this kind of activity is indicative of that.

You think Ajayi and Landry don't listen to rap? Anyway people need to stop projecting in this thread as if social media is a accurate depiction of someones life. No your friends aren't high on life all the time in Hawaii despite their quirky facebook posts/picture.

My concern is more about the safety issue of distracted driving which his IG makes it clear he does frequently. If he were bobbing his head to music on camera in his bedroom I wouldn't give a damn. But he is driving around without even paying attention to the road for several seconds at a time. It only takes one second of inattention to get in a wreck.

I think you guys are taking it a bit far saying that this type of activity means that Devante is not dedicated. Gase has praised Parker for his toughness in playing through pain with his hamstring and back issues.

I'm not saying he is a lazy bum or anything, just that he doesn't have the same growth mindset like Landry. Jarvis goes the extra mile in his preparation, Parker seems to coast a bit on his superior talent.

In any case, the issue is more to do with the safety hazard of his activity rather than what he does on his off time.

While he shouldn't be doing it, millions every day do it in this country and nothing happens and no it's nowhere close to as dangerous as drunk driving. For all we know he is driving in open lanes/uninhabited areas. Nonetheless like I said already, stop projecting with no basis. "Makes me wonder if Devante won't be in long term plans." Lol? Oh if we could have received daily posts of what Csonka and Kiick was driving around listenting to in the 1970's? Driving and writting with pen and a note pad while bobbing their heads to Seals and Croft or Creedence couldn't have been too safe either.
