There is no trade value for DeVante Parker. At best the Dolphins could get a conditional late round pick or maybe an offensive lineman that would add depth. They won’t find a starter anywhere in the NFL. Parker’s talent is there but he can’t be relied upon and in games, he simply isn’t a go-to figure when he is healthy.

The Dolphins picked up his 5th year option for 2019. It’s guaranteed only for injury. If the Dolphins were smart they would get Parker healthy and rescing that option immediately. More than likely he will be injured. If he isn’t, he isn’t likely to draw much interest on the open market at a salary that he would normally command if he could stay on the field.

I’m afraid he’s a bust. I was excited when Miami drafted him because i didn’t like any of the other WRs in that draft. I’ve been patient with him for 3 seasons and now I’m tired of waiting. He’s just not built for the nfl

I think he wrecked our offensive game plan yesterday. He practiced all week and I am sure he was to be heavily involved, only to come up lame Saturday. We basically had a walk through practice to change up an entire weeks worth of work.

In addition to that, he’s wrecking our offense period. We have a bunch of shifty fast guys and we need him to be a downfield/red zone jump ball threat. Especially with Gesicki’s slow start. Any catch he does end up making he’s blanketed because he can’t get separation. And he just doesn’t have the toughness or reliability to be depended on performing as a WR1 for us.

At this point, I know Dez is insufferable and probably not a “Gase” guy, but why not try and throw some cash at him on a one year deal? Parker is just so ineffective why not cut ties/bench him and see what the offense can look like without him? Any over the hill stopgap can perform as well as DVP if not better IMO.

I disagree with "bust" only because I don't think injuries equate to bust. That said, I don't want Miami paying him big $ to resign. No other team will.

I don’t know. We got $8 million per in basically a gadget wr playing 10 snaps a game and $6 million in a 30 plus slot with a very small catch radius and zero run thru contact

You would think a guy in his money year would be doing everything and anything to get as much playing time as possible. He's really becoming the equivalent to Dion Jordan in terms of desire. At some point he is going to start losing respect from teammates and I believe he will throw in the towel, Jordanesque.

Take out the injuries and even when he was “healthy” I didn’t see anything spectacular from him. I think the best plays I’ve seen of him since he was drafted were his highlight tape during the draft.

People can't have it both ways. You can't keep saying we don't need Parker to win and then say we lost because he didn't play. And the idea that he practiced during the week and then didn't play hurt the offense could be true, but if you believe that than why aren't you saying the defense practiced all week with Jones and then missing him hurt the defense? Sure not having Parker or Jones impacted the team. But thi s was a complete team loss. The running game struggled, the run defense struggled, the passing game struggles, the pass defense struggled, the special teams struggled and the coaching struggled.

As for Parker missing games or practices goes, I'll really get concerned when the team starts saying they cleared him to go but he opted not to play because he thought he was still hurt. If the team doctor and coaching staff says he can't go than it's out of his hands to a degree. I think the team missed him As I have repeatedly said in the past, you can't make a living throwing down field to Amendola, Wilson or Grant. on a side note, with Gesicki's speed at tight end I can't see why we haven't taken a shot down field with him?

He's a bust every week he collects a paycheck and can't suit up. A weapon that cannot be deployed in a rather ordinary offense to begin with.

Hes a bust period ... 14th overall pick in the draft, you expect that person to be an impact player. He hasnt even hit 1,000 yards or had more than 5 TDs in a season. Granted, part of the problem is Tannehill and that could be his biggest excuse, but the injuries with him are getting ridiculous. Cut bait, and get rid of him.

And P.S. - Injuries can make you a bust ... just ask Yatil Green.
