i predict that this year both derek and devin will get significant playing time and devin, yes devin! is going to be awesome and work his way into the #3 spot, and next year it will be chambers, derek, and devin as out 3 wr's!!! Go FINS:dolphins:

It's pretty highly doubtful that he is going to beat out Wes Welker, Kelly Campbell, and Derek Hagan for the #3 job in his rookie season.

The guy is a project. He's got real good physical talent, but the guy was basically used to run only deep routes at Auburn. He's got alot of learning to do.

Yes and he used his body to catch a lot of passes which will not work when you have a QB like Culpepper who guns the ball in there!

yea i agree, but i had a dream! lol a dream that devin turned out to be an animal that caught everything and ran around defenders like t.o lol im beeing optimistic lets just hope it comes true!!!

I see Devin as a good player in a couple years, but we have to many recievers now for him to be an impact right away. Plus it seems to take atleast 3 years for WR to be real impact players. I think he definately has a shot to be something, but I wouldn't expect that much out of him this year.

The reports on this kid have me totally confused. I hear he was only used as a deep threat and KR at Auburn. While watching his highlight videos, I saw him doing a good job going over the middle more than streaking down the sidelines. He's supposed to excel at KR/PR but I didn't see much of that, nor did I see him take one the distance . He's supposed to make things happen after the catch, but I saw absolutely no tackle breaking ability what so ever. He doesn't go down as easily as KAJ used to, but he didn't get away from any defender unless he was running away untouched. Lastly, I read he catches the ball out in front with his hands, but saw a ton of body catches.

So I'm asking our resident finheaven player evaluators, what's the deal with this kid?

I agree. Start with baby steps. I'd be pleased if Devin won the KR or #4 or 5 WR spot this year. Just give him time and he should develop into a solid player, he's just got a lot to learn.

it's pretty doubtful that he or any other 7th rounder in the nfl will make a roster beyond this season much less be a significant contributor.

Even then there's still a chance. Welker went undrafted and he's done fine.

I think he ends up on the practice squad. Players are drafted in the 7th round for a reason.

No offense, but how many Auburn games did you watch? This claim about "deep routes" has little basis in fact.

I saw virtually every game and he was used on a lot of crossing routes. In fact, Auburn rarely threw deep routes last year with their freshman QB who is basically an intermediate passer.

I won't go so far as to say that Aromashadou will win the #3 spot. But, I also think his chances are much better than practice squad!!!

He should make the team and has a good shot at anywhere from #3 to #5. He is a raw talent but I also think he may have more upside than Hagan, if he gets the right coaching and, IF he works hard enough on his game - that is the real issue.

The fact that he was a 7th rounder is really not indicative of his talent. He probably slipped through the cracks and, in my view, was drafted two rounds below where he should have been.

I have high hopes for this kid, he has the tools. Just not expecting much from him in his first year, hope I'm wrong.
