Devin Aromashodu

Who said he was a star? They just mentioned he was good enough to get some reps in. Aromashodu was cut because Saban preferred Vick, a slasher for QB/WR. I know Devin. When the dolphins released him, it wasn't because he sucked, they just had enough depth on the rosters. He was improving his routes, catching.

He played ST for the Colts and managed to make some plays before getting reps at Wr with all of the injuries.

Practice Squad players are just long shots, no one really knows what they can do and they can either play well or play badly...yaneverknow...

I actually was hoping we drafted Aromashodu because of his raw talent. If he doesn't succeed in Indy, I don't think he'll get an opportunity like that for a long time.

forget aromashadu...what about atari bigby? that guy starts for green bay....he was awesome in that playoff game last weekend vs seattle.

Looking back, I believe Miami cut him in 06... then he signed was signed by Indianapolis in 07, cut by them... He was then picked up by the Texans and put on the PS, that's when he was taken off another team's practice squad...

Technically we cut Aromashodu, but the Colts cut him once too so what does it matter?

Just because one of our players is on another team doesn't mean they're going to succeed.

True, they only succeed if they are on the cheatriots team. I think that is the rule right?

Marcus Vick had huge potential?

Apparently, since Miami cut him hes been MIA.

I wouldn't say that...

Please. Because a receiver shows up in an injury depleted lineup all of a sudden makes him a star? Aromashodu dropped some balls and failed to get open the majority of the plays I saw him. Any success he has with the Colts is likely a result of playing with one of the best quarterbacks ever.

Exactly!!!

I thought Indy took him off our PS late in '06 for the last couple of games? Maybe I'm wrong, won't be the 1st or last time, lol!

Nah, we had 4 WR's battling for a spot . . . Cliff Russell, Gibson, Vick and Devin.

Saban decided to keep Russell for Special teams play . . . cut the other 3 . . . decided to keep Gibson and Vick on the PS once they cleared waivers.

It is all a crap shoot, he was a 7th round pick . . . Devin didn't do anything to justify staying over any of those other 3. U can still see he is struggling w/ routes and seperation a bit . . . but he is improving. Peyton can make alot of guys look better.

He had the talent but was and is a work in progress. It's s shame we can't develop these guys in house.
