Which quarterback do you think is going to make the team between Devlin and O'Connell?

I thought that acquiring Pat Devlin was the best move that the Dolphins made since the lockout was lifted. We missed an oppurtunity to pick up a quarterback in the draft, but at least we got Devlin. At least now we have hope for the near future. I think Henne, Moore, O'Connell are nothing more than backups at best. I just hope that the organization gives Devlin a real chance--I don't know if that is their plan. He should definitely get more playing time in the preseason games and practice.

No one really is satisfied with Henne, and everyone is now talking about Moore being our starting quarterback. How pathetic we are... I think Devlin has the most potential ... just needs to get experience.

Maybe this season after Henne sucks, then we start Moore, and he sucks...then we bring in Devlin near the end of the season, and he shows promise we might then have our quarterback for next year.

O'Connell's already circled the drain with 2 of our division rivals... Devlin through 2 missteps: a bad East WEst Shrine Game and showing up late for his own proDDay sunk like a rock despite a few years of impressive leadership and stats. When through last season you got teams like Manning's Giants and Brady's Pats' monitoring him closely, well hell, obviously there's something there somewhere. As a UDFA selected us out of I believe 4 offers - so all the stars had to align just right for him to fall in our lap.

Whether it get fulfilled or not, there's likely "the sky's the limit" upside there. It's a no-brainer, you keep him - particularly since he likely wouldn't last a day on the PS before being snatched up.

the sparano family is in win now mode that doesn't bode well for devlin
when other teams start cutting Qbs specifically dallas we will likely snatch one of those up.
otherwise kevin oconnel is likely to stay because of him backing brady and being a former jet
Devlin will have to make some serious noise with his limited opportunities..

I do not see the advantage of keeping either, but if I had to choose one - Kevin O'Connell. Pat Devlin is smart, but from his performance in college, he just does not have the arm or the athletic ability of O'Connell. With that being said, I am talking about a backup roll and I do not see either ever being a starter.

I believe neither make it. Probably a late addition gets a shot. Don't rule out Pryor if he gets cleared for supplemental draft.

If the only option it is Devlin over Oconnell, however, if Devlin keeps sucking in preseason games we will probably be able to cut him and be able to get him on the practice squad. If he keeps playing like he did last week nobody will claim him.

way too early to tell. Unless we cut devlin early or he just blows up in preseason I doubt any team would snatch him off practice squad. Yes he chose us over other teams but many udfa choose between a few offers. Josh Portis has actually looked like a decent prospect and kind of wish we had looked at him although I liked Devlin also. Whoever plays best keep them neither is likely a starting qb in this league so keep the one that plays best

I still think if O'Connell doesn't stick, we would seriously consider picking up another QB (depending on who becomes available) and placing Devlin on the PS. Obviously we need to see more from Devlin as well. I'm not as confident as some that Devlin will automatically be snatched up if placed on the Practice Squad.

Right now, you definitely hope Devlin is better than O'Connell. Alot of potential there but like always that can be said about numerous QB's. It is all about it coming together and this regime doesn't have the best track record of having these "type" of guys putting it all together. We will see . . .

well, you already know who O'Connell is.....might as well keep devlin to see if there is an upside

Really I mean in reality we dont and he has been injury plagued. Oconnel although dissapointing thus far has great size and is one of the mobile guys u could have for a qb . The guy has tools prob more so than Devlin.

Belicheat develops his QBs to flip for a profit.. as he will with Hoyer, and likely Mallett if Brady digs in like he claims he will. Knowing that he cut O'Connell, as did Fatso while keeping Clemons and Ainge - should be all you need to know about his upside.
