With all the uncertainty with the Team I really hope who ever comes in gives Devlin a shot. You never know he
could be a diamond in the rough.

yes, players get a shot when they show they deserve one....because Marc Colombo and a whole bunch of other players who did nothing all year, were starting and kept starting lol. I dont know about you but if my team isnt going to the playoffs and I NEED a franchise QB, im gonna play Pat Devlin just to see what he has. Look at TJ Yates of the Texans; im sure they never expected him to be so good and LOOK...

this is the type of logic that has got us in this mess. Give a guy a shot and ignore addressing the problem until the player who you "give a shot too" fails....which everyone can see he will a mile away

They say he has been doing good in practice. He was one of the very top QBs in college, and was more accurate than all of them. He's a winner and doesn't make many mistakes. He is no worse than Yates and all the other rookie QBs. We'd better give him a chance before we start kicking ourselves, and all these quarterback experts (doubters) on this board start saying "I knew we should have given him a chance..." Guaranteed he is far better than Moore. The only advantage Moore has is More experience--and how do you think he got experience? Just watch...you will see, if he ever gets a fair opportunity.

is that you Mr Devlin????

Saying he's better than Moore isn't saying much. Moore is a backup and so is Devlin and Henne. We need to draft a quarterback in the first round every 2-3 seasons till we have our guy, it's as simple as that.

Why didnt you say so before???? If I knew you said that I would of told Ross about him as I am close to Boss Ross. Hey dude I can get you a job telling us what players to use and evaluating who is good and bad for us.

We don't know how good or bad he can be no one has really seen him play and sorry but the evaluation of this organization on players has been meh so you never know Devlin could surprise us.

well you cant ignore that no other team wanted him but anything can happen

No, we shouldn't give him a chance! He might go 6-7 against a schedule with 1 team with a winning record! Oh, wait a second!

Devlin was moved from the practice squad to the active roster to prevent another QB hungry team from snatching him. The guy has some talent. Is he ready yet? I don't know and neither do any of you. At least we protected him after investing a year developing him. Smart move by Ireland. He learned his lesson after losing Matt Moore in Dallas to Carolina. I'm sure he will get some time in preseason to show where he is.

I find it amusing to see so many fans totally disregarding Matt Moore simply because he was not a
1st rd pick. The guy played pretty darn well ranking #12 in passer rating and going 6-3 in the final 9 games. Give the guy a little respect.

Over his career Moore is a less than 60% accurate passer, 32td to 26 int, and a rating of about 80. That's a backup. Of course Alex Smiths career number are worse. I suppose in the right system... Either way, a new coach isn't going to excited about Moore being the man.
