Since we've played "Through The Looking Glass" with players like Jake and Matty Ice, I'm wondering where league teams, with the benefit of future vision would have drafted Devone knowing what they know now.

Yesterday: 6 receptions, 57 yds and only 2nd to Wayne Chrebet as the 2nd most prolific UFA WR signing. And that's not to mention his utility as a return man. No fumbles this season either. And what about that block he threw to help spring Fasano as he bulled his way into the endzone (which was impressive in its own right)? What a brilliant signing! Better than 4th rounder Murphy. Gotta believe it was Ireland on this one who the kudos especially go to.

My guess is he'd go somewhere in the late 3rd round using "Future Vision"

Wondering what others are thinking???

what I'm thinking is how lucky we are to have him on our team...he's making plays every game and helping us move the chains...plays hard every sunday and that block was great and I mention that in the chatroom yesterday.....I'm glad he's with us.

Ozzy rules!!

Bess is definitely playing like a Eddie Royal type player . . . and he didn't even start until after midseason. It is ESSENTIAL that Chad has a "Bess" like WR in his offense. He has 3 RB's, 2 TE's . . . he has his slot guy . . . and he has Ginn . . . honestly, this offense is PERFECT for Chad, and he can put up 38 points . . . if he needs to.

If this defense can forget that first half, and play like they have 14 of the last 16 quarters . . . we have a team that can win next Sunday, and be "interesting" in the playoffs.

Not many penalties, takes care of the ball better than any team in the league . . . I love this team.

Bess is gonna be a Dolphin for a long time . . . atleast I hope he is.

I think he was one of the best pickups we could have gotten. He has done nothing but show he can play and make the other 31 teams that passed him over regret it. He has played better than most 2nd and 3rd round Wr. I think the only better WR rookie would be Donnie Avery & eddie Royal... maybe.

He could turn out to be the best WR in this year`s class.

And Davone was doing another vital thing yesterday. He was blocking his tail off and kept staying on his man. The kid is a heck of a player.

The kid is a beast. I just keep thinking of the people that were saying that he wasn't going to make the team, and to not get our hopes up. My hopes were up the whole time, and he has not upset..

Bess has been a tremendous player this year for us. He has excellent quickness and elusiveness, great hands, and has shown to be a pretty good blocker as well.

IMO Bess will have a better career with the fins than Ginn. their speeds are similar as well as catching ability, but ginn is scared to get hit, and its understandable with his size. but Bess has better route running than Ginn does.

With the way the Phins have drafted in recent years, it's interesting that perhaps their best WR's would be undrafted (Camarillo and Bess). Especially if you consider Ted Ginn was the 9th overall pick and really isn't as productive as those guys have been.

Bess has better quickness then Ginn but Ginn is a 4.3 guy in the 40 while Bess is a 4.65 guy.

OK, ummm first off . . . their speed is not even close. Bess is quick . . . but he doesn't have Ginn speed. Ginn was jogging on that reverse yesterday and blew by everybody. Bess doesn't have that kind of speed, if he did, he would NOT have gone undrafted.

Second of all, that scared to get hit thing is a myth . . . Ginn took several big shots yesterday and made the catches in traffic. Bess is a slot guy, his job is to make catches over the middle.

Bess is a better route runner, Ginn is working on it . . . but the ceiling is much higher for Ginn. But u may be right, Bess may end up having a better career with the Fins than Ginn . . . that is definitely possible.

U don't have to trash Ginn to make your point about Bess tho . . . I like both of em.

Well he was not picked due to his receiving skills for they are the most gifted within the team. He was not picked due to his height and speed which pro scouts believe are a factor for future success. You can't really say wheather he can be picked on this round or another round due to how these "pro" scouts already run the system. If everything is accurate then even due to this season performance he would still not get picked.
