He has a proven track record of winning with three different teams in three different decades. Hire Vermeil=profit.

You know I'm right. Don't try to argue with me because it would end very badly for you. I was right about guys like Sparano and Ireland while most of you fanboys were drooling over those hires. Plus I heard on ESPN radio today that he wants another shot.

Make this happen Ross!

Lol, go outside your front door and yell that chant at the top of your lungs over and over again. Very reminiscent of "we want Bush" only opposite.

YAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR MATEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Miami is looking for a new head coach and he is available why wouldn't this be considered?

He is vastly experienced, has won a super bowl, has still got contacts in the league.

Seems obvious to me.

Dick Vermeil was born in 1936. That makes him a spritely 77. About 5 - 6 years ago I was vacationing in Key West and one night at a pretty upmarket restaurant at the next table was Dick Vermeil and his wife. We got the chance to talk and they were extremely likable. He is a genuine good guy and he was happy to talk about anything. Some celebrities you can tell don't want to talk or be noticed. Dick was the complete opposite, he was on vacation and enjoyed conversing. I got the strong impression that he was enjoying life and had no intention of returning to coach football.

Translation Silver likes DICK!

I would rather listen to Philbin congratulate the other team than watch this idiot break down quivering and bawling his eyes out after a win

Because he's so damn old he coached Jesus' football team.

He was in until he found out the presser would conflict with his bingo and shuffleboard schedule and bowed out.
