...drag Cadillac into the endzone on purpose late in the game? Watch the replay...Williams is stopped short on that first down carry and Anderson appears to wrap him up and pull him into the endzone. Brilliant if you ask me. That was the only real chance they had at that point. Forget defensive pride - that was the best strategy they could have employed because with four cracks inside the 1, they were going to score a TD so you might as well let them score on first down and give your offense a full minute plus of time to score. It also saved their timeout. Wake and Anderson came to play today.
 
Im sure he wanted the other team to score.....Wow the level of intelligence on some of these threads after games is amazing
 
Is someone on this board emailing crack to our posters? Today has seen some of the craziest posts.
 
think about it, if they didnt get in, more time would have ran off the clock and the bucs could have ran the clock down to under 30 seconds leaving very little time for the phins to comeback if the bucs scored.

makes sense to me.
 
Yeah why would a team ever let another team score. Oh wait, wasn't there a team in New York that tried to let Jacksonville score late in the game but MJD just took the knee? That's right.

I'd have to look at the play again but it'd make a lot of sense. Not a chance in **** our defense stops them from the 1 yard line.
 
No, that make sense. Any NFL team can get one yard in four tries. Even the Bucs. I was yelling at the TV, "Let them score." That is honestly the best shot we had at winning. Say they ran it twice, ate up 40 seconds, then punched it in. We wouldn't have been able to drive down the field. Now wether Anderson did this on purpose or not, we'll probably never no. But I did see what you were talking about, when he kind of pulled him forward. I don't know either way but it would have been smart.

You are the one showing a lack of intelligence with this comment...No way we stop them on first and goal inside the 1. All we do by stopping them on a couple of plays is burn the clock so that we have NO chance of getting a field goal to win the game (which is I believe what we did.) Before you say someone else is not intelligence why don't you think about it first. This will prevent you from looking like an idiot.

Some of you are ragging on the smartest post of the day. This crossed my mind before and after the play. 1st and goal at the one- odds are they're going to score. If Anderson did that, and maybe the defense was ordered to do so if they could get away with it, it saved crucial time for us to drive for the FG and it could have saved the game. Great post.
 
if he did thats awesome because we only had 1 TO left and we needed to save that and they were probably going to get a TD anyways so smart play if that is what he did
