Did anyone catch the last phrase of this article?

Defensive tackle Manuel Wright missed a third straight day for "personal issues."

Man oh man what the heck is happening to this guy? It just seems to me that his heart is not really focus on reaching a higher level. I mean this guy has all the tools and physical attributes to be actually somebody in this league, the DT position is his for the taking. Even on the dolphin depth chart he's not even 2nd string. what a waste, wouldn't be surprised if Saban just drops his chunky butt. Luckily we got a few hungry and dedicated young players waiting for a chance.

Maybe his dog died... or worse!

Guys, you all seem to forget one thing: Obviously, Saban knows the reason why he is not practicing. Obviously the reason, whatever reason that may be, is obviously a good enough reason for Saban.

That Means

that means that he has a small injury or heat related injury. saban is not telling the reports every little thing wrong with the players so they say personal reasons.

I see Manny being placed on the PUP list by the end of camp ... so that he doesn't take up a roster spot ... and it gives him the 6 weeks to get ready ... or get cut ....

ease up on him what if someone in his family died or something.....I sure wouldnt want to practice either

Only thing I hope is he doesnt eat when he is depressed.

He has been working hard since he reported to camp so give him the benifit of the doubt

None of us know what is going on. I'm sure if he was a waste of space, Nick would cut his a$$. Let's see if he play in the preseason opener. If he doesn't, maybe he really is hurt

Maybe he is pulling a Demetrius Underwood and we will get a report that he has got knife to his throat on the Palmetto Expressway

He's upset because....
Fill in the blank

1) The buffett was empty
2) He was to big to get into the buffett restaurant
3) He ate to much turkey and overslept
4) He wasn't allowed into the restaurant for fear they wouldn't have food for
all other customers.
5) .... He couldn't get out of the car to go to pratcie because he was stuck
in the car..............

No can do. Players can't be put on the PUP now. They can only be put on the PUP at the start of training camp.

dont forget the more experienced guys to like zgonina traylor etc

If it were family issues (sickness or death of near relative) we would have been told that. I'm guessing it is a crisis of 'focus and commitment.' Does he have the determination to give 100% or does he just want to hang up his cleats and call it quits. I'm betting Saban has told him, "No more fooling around. Take some time off to decide whether or not you are a football player. If you decide 'yes' then welcome back and get your butt in gear. If 'no' then you are out of here."
