Did anyone else get an E-Mail from Roger Goodell?

Well, apparently the players want to know more about the owners finances. Hmm, do we the people get to know about our bosses and companies finances? Nope. The players want more money, as if they dont make enough. The players want better healthcare...well, then dont play football. Plus, do we get to demand better healthcare from our bosses? The players dont seem to want to give in to a rookie wage scale; so let the rookies who've proven nothing make millions (sometimes even more than vets who work like dogs to play).

I blame the players. Take a pay cut and shut your mouth; either that...or go bag groceries. I'll miss football, but Im glad the owners are standing ground.

Owner put up all the risk they employ 100s of people - the only people the players pay is their entourage

The owners thought they could keep their massive guaranteed TV payout on the QT enabling them to outwait the players and ever-increasing frustrated, impatient fans, even if it took 2 seasons, not to mention hosing the networks with no intention of giving them any value in return. From a financial hardhsip POV, this levels the playing field a little more. Judge Doty is the man[

On the other hand, morons like Antonio Cromartie who scored a 12 on the Wonderlic should be thankful for anything he receives due to pure athleticism. Otherwise he'd be lucky to be supersizing mcfries.

Both sides are being greedy but I can't help but to think that the owners have the upperhand here. Most of them are billionaires and some of the players are broke right now so who needs the 2011 season to happen more?

I got the email as well. Had a read, then opened up another page & the headline screamed 'Brady, Manning, Brees to sue the NFL.' What I couldnt understand is why they wouldn't sue the players association, because it appearred as though they were the ones that walked away from the table, not the nfl/owners. Maybe the reason why the NFLPA disbanded is because of the threat of being sued by players, because they, the NFLPA didn't do everything in there power to make sure that there was a season in 2011.

I'm sure there is truth to what both sides are saying. However after hearing about the NFL and their little nest egg they were trying to hide for the money from the television networks I'm have a hard time believing much of what the NFL said they had offered.

Did anyone email him back and tell him that's its the fans who suffer from this, not the billionaires or the millionaires?

I think the owners are at fault. Nobody told them to make billion dollar stadium during the worst economy since the Depression.

tax payers shouldn't be on the hook for half empty stadiums ...
screw godeal, screw the owners, screw the players, screw the mayors, and all the corrupt politicians..
We should be like Belgium and have no government!!

And delicious waffles!!!

I really wish these people would work a real job for a year and maybe they would see that they already make to much money. I think they sould be giving the money back to the fans and bring the ticket prices down. So you could afford to go to a game. I think the nfl may have lost a lot of fan base due to this CBA crap.

This is the reality of the world we live in. Millionaires want to become billionaires... And billionaires want to become multi-billionaires....
