They said he breaks down game film for next weeks opponent and gives it to Henne after the game is over. All I could think when I herd that is wow, this guy is the real deal. It’s easy to see why the Jets were in such a hurry to get rid of him, they have no room for that kind of class.

Pennington always puts the team first.....I hope he recovers from the injury. We can always use CP here and have him coach our younger QBs.

You won't find a classier guy in the NFL anywhere else. Seriously, how many veteran quarterbacks who go down with season ending injuries go out of their way to help a guy that was eventually going to take over his job?

I don't like Penny as an NFL player but I think he is one hell of a human-being. This post just makes it even more clear, the dude's head is in the right place.

Very classy, very intelligent, let's keep him around as a coach somewhere!!

Chad Pennington will ALWAYS be a New York Jet. 1+ year away cannot change that.

You just made me throw up a little in my mouth.

All joking aside, do you think he really thinks of himself as a Jets Player wearing a different uniform? Or what was done to him by your last coach enough to consider himself a fin?

He is one person I want around my organization for the next 20 years. He signifies class and a work ethic that is contagious.

Sorry nyjunc...Chad has given his heart and soul to the Fins. Maybe he'll always be a Jet to you, but he'll probably always be a Fin in his own heart.

That's awesome. Much love for CP. I wish him all the best in his recovery and I hope he sticks around in some capacity (hopefully QB coach) for a long time to come.

Not saying he doesn't mean well - but the fact is he's still getting a paycheck signed by Ross / Parcells / TD the Dolphin. He's got a job to do. Yeah I like that he's pro-active about it, and I hope he sticks around, but it's not JUST out of the good of his heart. Cash is king.

He still would have gotten paid if he sat on his *** at home. He is still taking his time and using it to coach the guy that has taken his spot.
