The gameplan became awful once Henne was in. It got mega-conservative. Talk about hand-cuffing Henne. They would not let him throw the ball, much less the deep ball. I really was looking forward to seeing him fling the ball around to show how good the arm is, but either there is no confidence in Henne or he wasn't prepared to come in for this game.

I Thought for sure this was going to be the moment we all waited for, Henne taking over as the starter with a year sitting out and learning, should be ready to step in right away and take the reigns, but I was wrong. The coaching staff called the game just as if Henne was a rookie all over again.

If Henne doesn;t pan out, we are in trouble.

If I'm not mistaken, Henne was listed as the number 3 QB yesterday. I don't think the coaching staff was prepared for the possibility of Henne playing yesterday, nor do I think Henne was mentally prepared either.

With a week to prepare, I think he'll do better.

Coaches probably don't have much confidence in him yet. He's got to show he can complete the short stuff without telegraphing his reads and tossing pick 6's before they're gonna let him launch the deep stuff.

We don't see what they see on a daily basis in practice, so it's hard to say why they do what they do. But they have their reasons I'm sure.

If it's gonna be Henne, we gotta commit to the guy and give him his chances, let him take his lumps for at least a good two or three seasons.

I noticed it. I thought Pennington was still in.

The gameplan better change next week. Otherwise, I'm going to start to question this coaching staff.

Of course it changed. It was a tough situation to come into and they went conservative knowing he had no time with the 1st team. Also, for those of you that want to see Henne light up the sky, that's not going to happen. The Dolphins offensive philosophy is pound the rock. Boring but very effective when done properly.

Maybe I'm the only one...but i don't see it....Henne flung it 10-13 yards to Ginn twice for drops, over threw Ginn deep and hit Brown deep downfield????

Of course they're gonna be conservative at that point, were you born yesterday? I really wonder about some of these posts

Did anyone else notice the change in defense after Henne came in...hmmmm...that may have had something to do with it, you think?

yeah teams are bringing their blitz packages every game from now on. The way to beat that is the boys upfront playing lights out and playcalling that throws the defense off.

The draws have been kinda nice lately. Henne needs to find Ginn downfield to get that confidence with coaches. But the coaches need to see what there guy can do. We all know we are not going playoffs which is why all the team was in blues mode on the bench yesterday. They know.

Let it fly!!!

Here's the thing I have to say; if our coaching staff isn't confident in Henne and doesn't think he is ready, why didn't we bring in a single other QB to compete. I think most people expected that Henne would be starting at some point this year, but that doesn't mean we should have completely disregarded our backup QB situation. It's a fact that almost every team's backup will start a game, and also a fact that Pennington has a long injury history. We should have had something besides Pat White to be prepared for the situation where we might need to promote our backup QB's.

It's why I think this season is going to be an incredibly long season.

That was when they fell behind by 10. They really had no choice at that point. It was conservative even in the passes thrown initially.

Before the pick 6, I really thought they were trying to trick SD into thinking that we werent confident in our backup. Once the defense cheated up enough, i thought they would let it fly.... Then the pick 6 happened, I started drinking, and I dont remember much after that

One problem......Ginn has to catch it when thrown downfield which has proven to be a problem.
