that Olindo Mare was going to make a field goal as time expired to give Seattle the win?

It seems like our former players always come back to haunt us, and I had this sick feeling that an inevitable Mare 50-yarder was coming at the end.

Granted, I never lost the faith, but it's just a feeling I had. It has never felt so good to be so wrong. :woot:

I thought about it earlier, but honestly I wasn`t thinking about it on that last drive. Too worried about stopping `em on downs!

I'm still thinking we might fall into some kind of time warp and end up back there with Mare winning it.

This game IS over, right?

Glad that game was easier on you. My sick feeling of Mare kicking a game winner began early in the third quarter. Luckily, the beer helped calm my nerves a bit. :beer1:

I don't know if he got his FG % back up to where it was in his prime, but that boy sure can boom some kickoffs. I remember loving having him for that reason. Honestly, with Mare our kickoff coverage would probably be ranked quite a bit higher.

I actually flash-backed to the 1972 season (lived in Pompano)(all games were on TV before the 75 mile rule) and the few games that we won in the last minute and a half by Garo kicking the winner

As i kep hitting refresh on the comp ... yea i did. Glad he didnt but had a sick feeling.

I was thinking the same thing, and thought about Culpepper last year pointing at his knee, but then I thought this isn't last year, this is this year!

I didn't really like that people boo'd him, he was a good kicker for us with some rough final years. But whateva that's typically how our fans reach to former players, such as Chris Chambers.

I did,

I even said in the FH chat room how much it was going to suck because Mare, the guy we let go, was going to finish us off (and our playoff hopes).

without question. i figured seneca montana would drive them to the 35 or so, where mare would split the uprights with about and inch to spare.
