Did anyone go or has anyone ever gone to the NFL Draft?

I have always wanted to go and i think the 08 Draft is when me and some of my boys will get together and head to NY for the event. Has anyone been to the draft recently and are aware of the proceedures of getting tickets and how seating works and all thats stuff a guy may need going up there for the first time for the draft?

I heard tickets are free and on a first come first serve basis. Are people waiting outside through all hours of the night camping out for great seats to the Draft? Do a small % of people auctally get in or is it not really that big of a deal to get a ticket?

Im just looking for all kinds on information on going to the draft because next year i will be there ringing in the new Dolphin class of 08.

I went to the draft in 2005 at the Javits Center when we took Ronnie at #2. It was a fun experience, but I would prefer to watch it at home away from all the Jets fans.

In 2005, the tickets were distributed somewhere between 7:30-8am, and I had to get in line outside the venue around 3am. At that point, there were approximately 100 people in line in front of me (mostly Browns fans, believe it or not, to their credit). Once you get your free ticket, you can head back to your room to nap before the draft kicks off at noon.

I had the opportunity to meet Art Shell and John Clayton and nearly bumped into Alex Smith as he exited the interview room outside of the main stage. It was a lot of fun, but, as stated above, once I saw it, I really had no desire to head back.
