The move reunites Marshall with his former Broncos running mate, Jay Cutler, and gives Chicago the consistent receiving threat its offense has lacked for years. For the Dolphins, who are currently trying to woo Peyton Manning, the move is puzzling at first ... but it may indicate future activity. What do you make of the trade from the perspective of both the Bears and Dolphins?http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...n-marshall-trade-benefits-both-dolphins-bears

My take is a wait and see. If he's suspended for 6 games or so, I think it's a pretty fair trade for both. Low value for the Dolphins, but I'm not sure there would be much of a market for Marshall if he served that suspension with us. If he's heavily involved in the incident, and he's suspended an entire year I think we're clear winners.

The Bears with Marshall will definitely contend with the Lions for a wildcard spot.

It might work out for the Bears once his latest incident is settled.

It's not good for the Dolphins. They are completely screwed at WR. Even if they did bring in a FA they would have been better off with him AND Marshall, even if they drafted Blackmon they would have been better off with both. Talent like Marshall doesn't grow on trees. He is probably suspended so I guess the Dolphins were screwed either way. It's not a good day for the Dolphins.

laughable....Bears even if BM's suspended they get the elite WR they need by end of season, and with the rest of the WR core, they have a chance to push the packers as one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFC. If that older defense holds up, they can be SB favorites.

We got 2 #3s...and one isn't coming until next year. pathetic.

Depends on BM. If he goes to Chi-Twon and wins a title, they obviously won. If BM gets suspended even once, the Dolphins won.

But at this point, I'd say both. The Bears know the head case the got, and the Dolphins got good value for a ticking bomb of a player.

Ill take all the money we cleared up and if he leads the league in drops again next year and continues his off field habits can not argue to much but we better find a replacement no doubt. Brandon lloyd or mario manningham and blackmond.....

For a supposed elite receiver, Marshall dropped way too many passes! Given his sketchy personality and dropped passes, I am glad he is gone. Quite frankly, based on his drops, I think he is over rated. He is a good receiver, but was never elite.

And how are we getting Blackmon? trading up?

Mario Manningham isn't going to replace BM's talent or production.

Funny how people call him elite. How do you drop all those passes if you're elite. BM = overrated - - nothing good happened while he was here. Time to move on.

It's not even close, even if suspended. The impact the move has on the dolphins is huge, Brian Hartline #1 reciever !! That's another huge hole to fill along with the QB slot which we are rapidly running out of options. Those aren't just 2 3rds, they are 2 very low 3rds, closer to 4th round than top of the 3rd.

I have no clue what the plan is, but it seems like it's completely illogical right now.

The Bears have a QB and a passing game in a QB driven league

we don't

Bears win

The move isn't puzzling. Marshall has been involved in numerous incidents which left the Phins no choice but to cut him. He was at a nightclub a few years back when a Denver Bronco's d-back was killed. Many people say Marshall was running his mouth at the club. We don't need a guy like this on our team, no matter how talented he may be at catching the ball. He also drops a lot of passes and has been pretty inconsistent. Two third rounders are better than nothing.

Really?

I don't even know what to say.

yeah really....what don't you agree with? Blackmon is definitely not reaching....Mario was the #3 option with Eli as QB.

Just because you don't like BM, doesn't mean he wasn't the most productive WR we've had in decades.

a friend of mine was with him (marshall),when he threw that tv at that guy up in denver.he says they got into a fight and busted down some walls at that place.i guess it got ugly.his character alone probably screwed his value.
