Did Bears or Dolphins benefit more from trade?

a friend of mine was with him (marshall),when he threw that tv at that guy up in denver.he says they got into a fight and busted down some walls at that place.i guess it got ugly.his character alone probably screwed his value.

I heard the shooter may really have been going after Marshall and not Darrent Williams. There was an article in Denver' New Times that discusses this. http://blogs.browardpalmbeach.com/pulp/2011/04/brandon_marshall_murder_darrent_williams.php
Is Brandon Marshall Responsible for the Murder of Former Teammate Darrent Williams?

If the Bears go to the superbowl this season then they won.

If Marshall gets in trouble one more time in the next couple of years then the fins won.

I thought we should have gotten more value for him but he has basically tainted himself SOOOO badly we were lucky to already have a dance partner in place for this trade. I think that is what most people are missing. We were already talking with the bears about possibly trading him BEFORE he got into trouble. I think they were probably willing to give us more before this incident. We were lucky to be able to make the trade. He has been a head case the whole time he was here.

I thought we over paid for him, we should have gone equally hard after Boldin back then. They didn't even try and get Q for some unknown reason.

i could see somebody moreso shooting at marshall than williams.i dont condone shooting innocent people at all,but this article doesnt surprise me.

you can't analyze this trade on "who won" or "who lost." the denver broncos did not want to trade their franchise receiver in the prime of his career for two 2nd rounders. the dolphins didn't want to trade their franchise receiver in the prime of his career for two 3rd rounders. you get to a point. once that point is reached (also known as "the straw that broke the camel's back"), you need to cut the player, or trade him if you are fortunate enough to find a taker. it doesn't matter how much he helps the bears, just like it didn't matter to denver how much he helped us, once we acquired him. BM had reached that point here, and we were DAMN lucky to get the bears to give up two 3rd rounders. throw in the money cleared up under the cap to acquire more players ($5.8 million dollars), and it makes digesting the loss of his pure ability easier to swallow. but the fact is he was not staying here past yesterday - and it had nothing to do with "who is doing better in this trade."

The bears played their old ball boy like a drum. BM will be happy with Cutler throwing him the ball.

This thread is funny. The bears won, they got what they needed on their roster for a HELL of a price and are now a legitimiate post season threat.

We however did not "lose". We cut ties with a sketchy, unreliable, reception machine who over his elongated career in Miami, did NOT really help us get over any sort of hump, instead handing us altercation after altercation along with games where he litterally might as well been sitting on the bench. You are awarded no points and may god have mercy on your soul.

He was the only media attn. Miami got though lol. I'd say win/win, but it was more just da bears taking advantage of our current situation issues with BM....and incapable FO.

While we all agree the guy has terrific talent he does drop alot of passes. I think the count was 6 in the endzone and most were on the money. I remember the Tennessee game here where after catching a 12 yard pass for a 1st down he threw the ball at Titan players. Which nullified the 1st down and added penalty yards. I'm not glad he's gone but he is a loose cannon and he did take alot of money too keep.

The Dolphins come out on top. This is a no brainer with this latest incident he's involved in. Not only do they get rid of a guy who threw Manning and Moore under the bus, who dropped numerous TD passes in the end zone, who fell out of bounds while running wide open, who punts balls out of bounds, who has gotten stupid penalties costing the Fins in critical spots, who is married to a psycho and has a habit of getting into legal troubles with/because of her and who openly embraced the thought of going to Chicago and playing with Cutler. Take him Chicago, he's your headache now.

If you are not aware, if he is suspended, the 5 mil hit on the cap is erased. Yea, the Bears came out on top :bobdole:
