We won't know for three years or so, but early indications sure look good. I can't remember the last time we had this many rookies making an impact immediately in camp. No mental adjustment problems, no "adjusting to the speed of the game," just guys making plays right away.

Even the undrafted guys are impressing.

In the words of our beloved Parcells, "If they don't bite as pups...."

I want to see it translate to the field in a few more games and not just practice...we have had many "practice studs" in the past, who just sucked when the lights came on. I want "gamers"...

Totally agree. But I can't even remember when we had so many practice studs from one class.

I can't make any complaints about it yet.

I'm really interested to see how Aiken developes. Coyle has shown to be a master at getting the most out of his secondary, Aiken hAs the physical ability to really be something special IMO.

My only complaint is I would of liked to draft a RB somewhere.

Don't mean to rain on your parade but, the only things I have seen so far is a VG punt return, and Fede doing well vs subs. As in all drafts, I am excited on potential but, have become very skeptical on actual results.

Ill let you know in 2 years, but its looking good so far. You have to remember that training camp is hardly reminiscent of a real game. Temper those expectations for now. Let see how we do vs Brady or vs that Bills D-Line with live bullets. Those first 2 games of the season are really going to make a difference come December.

I disagree. James didn't totally suck eggs, unlike our previous OL picks the last few years. Landry may have only had 1 good PR, but it sounds pretty clear that this guy is going to start sooner rather than later. Turner and Aikens...lowlights so far. Lynch needs to develop. Trip is looking good. Bet he starts over Wheeler before end of season. Hazel...lucky to make practice squad. May have been a bad pick. Getting Fede in the 7th looks like a gem...

It may not be the best, but my God look at what we had last year...

Landry played the whole game with a pathetic QB....when he gets some time with Tannehill you will see him shine.

Add in that McCain looks like an excellent talent to develop and that Damien Williams also likely to stick...

Agreed...didn't mention him because he was a UDFA...which is even better...

It's obviously WAY too early to tell, but right now, signs point to yes.

1. James: week one starter at last years weakest position, and seemed to hold his own in his first game action
2. Landry: what else can be said about this kid? Might turn out to be steal of draft.
3. Turner: yet to crack the lineup, but should at least provide solid depth this season
4. Aikens: has yet to show much
5. Lynch: has yet to show much
6. Tripp: might be biggest surprise of draft class, as rumors are out that he may be competing for starting spot
7. Hazel: potential, but may be pushed to PS due to players at WR position
8. Fede: has flashed tons of potential in camp and preseason

So while some may not make a year one impact, they all have potential to make an impact in future years

You don't have to be a genius to tell that Landry is the real deal. He's a guy who will find his niche and do his thing very, very well.

For all of the criticism that the Dolphins and Stephen Ross received associated with the GM appointment. I have been very impressed to date. I haven't seen too many obvious mistakes to date and we appear to have a Head Coach, GM and owner all on the same page.
Still early days but I'm very optimistic.

I wasn't terribly impressed with what we did in free agency, but I'll say that I like what I've seen so far from Hickey in terms of finding college talent. People for years justified Ireland's job because he could find 'acorn' UDFAs or late round players. Looks like it's our SCOUTING DEPARTMENT that's doing that, and now we have the added benefit of a GM who doesn't pick injured guys who can't get on the field in the first and second rounds.

I'm more concerned with drafting successfully.....it's way to early for judgement on this class...but the early returns are positive.
