The playmakers made plays against Tennessee, and the Miami Dolphins won. That needs to be a sustainable formula. Instead, it’s where the Dolphins have broken down in recent years.

Playmakers making plays has little or nothing to do with interim coach Dan Campbell and the jolt of energy he injected into this team.
Playmakers change games regardless of the head coach.
So understand this: This season isn’t about Campbell. This season is, and always has been, about the playmakers.
The way the Dolphins are built there should be enough playmakers that a few of them make game-changing plays every week.

All they did was win their individual battles by running the ball down their throat. Campbell was preaching win your battles. And they did. That is sustainable. Nothing tricky about it, not trying to fool anybody.

Did you guys hear Campbell's post game lockerroom speech? Inspiring. He said he would bleed for these guys. Gave credit to guys like Brennan, Hazel and Chris McCain for preparing our team in practice. This is all about being a team. Like he said the sleeping giant has awoken and we can't take any naps. Keep going 100%

i do believe it's sustainable but i also think that miamis not gonna find the running game so easily vs better run defenses which means it's likely that the lions share comes back to the pass protection...regardless miami must work from under center more and stick with it

throw the all shotgun out the window...

Sure. If you can consistently win your 1on1's. Focus on dominating your assignment and they all come together and equal a team effort. And you get the result you did on Sunday.

I agree that the weakness of the Titans defense was stopping the run, and I agree we have not proven we can run on a top run stuffing defense. The addition of a blocking TE to the squad may point to more heavy sets to establish the run when challenged.

We discovered the most sustainable formula. Win both lines of scrimmage, run the ball well, and harrass the **** out of the opposing qb. Its the basics. So glad to see some fire from them. I waa starting to watch Bengals games again and thinking about the days of being like 5 and rooting for them. I don't want to give up on my phins!

It is a formula for being COMPETITIVE.

The play calling was much more aggressive on BOTH sides of the ball.

They have definite weaknesses though. LB and corner can be exploited.

They have to stick with the running game even if they fall behind.

Pretty sure Tennessee had one of the better defenses in the league before we went in there and stomped the yard

Titans were a great opportunity to show us fans, and more importantly to remind the players of what this team can do. Like others have said, it probably won't be as advantageous again this season for us so we need to keep throttling.. Grimes' health is what I'm most concerned with. We have one the best receivers in league coming to town next week, so we need to contain Hopkins as much as we can.

Maybe we can get this season back on track under Campbell, that's exciting.

Tennessee has a good defense.

I don't know if what we did is sustainable. I think we have a talented football team, but it's hard to imagine you can just beat the stuffing out of the guys lined up across from you every week like that.

depends on how our o line can hang with creating holes to at least get SOMETHING out of the running game every week , and being able to protect tannehill.

if our d line can keep up the pressure on opposing qb's I think we'll have the team defense we all expected this season.

Playmakers change games regardless of the head coach.
That's total BS. See 49ers under Mike Singletary (7-9, 8-8, 6-10) and under Jim Harbaugh (13-3, 11-4-1, 12-4) with basically the same core of players (Patrick Willis, Frank Gore, Vernon Davis).

The formula?

I think the next two games will tell us something about sustainability. If we lose to Texas, we're still below .500 with Pats game in NE and really haven't gained anything. If we beat Texas we are relevant again at .500 and a good showing against the Pats will show the season can still be successful. If we beat both and look inspired doing it... that would show that thinks have drastically changed for the better. Football is an emotional game. Obviously, the Dolphins were up for the Titans game; sick of losing, tired of being humiliated, pride, and the joy of having a new beginning with a new much more inspired coach. It is near impossible to carry on that kind of enthusiasm. But, with buy in to Campbell's approach and the coaches schemes and game plans will make a significant difference in performance on Sundays. So far, so good. Next two games will tell us a lot.
