I just finished watching the game, and I popped on here to read the general consensus. I'm actually shocked at the overreaction of people on here. Last week, we played, arguably, the best team in the league, and we couldn't stop them. This week, we play a team with 4 legitimate stars on offense-Johnson, Foster, Schaub, and Daniels. Did they light it up on us? No. The places where we failed last week were, relatively successful this week (comparatively speaking). Johnson had less than 100 yards on us...even with Vontae missing most of the game, and Schaub threw for 230 yards. We had pressure on the passer and corrected the majority of our mistakes from last week.

On offense, we shined last week, and Henne looked like a leader. This week, he wasn't nearly as consistent, but he was hardly the one to get all of the blame. Did Bush look like a world-beater? No. But, he also had far fewer touches. Daniel Thomas, how did he look? People can talk all the crap they want, but he looked tremendous today. Indecisive during the preseason? Not today. He was straight-ahead and powerful with 5+ yards per carry. Did he fumble? Yes....on a perfect hit. My god....he's a bust....no one fumbles.....ever!!!! What about Brandon? What about Carpenter? Brandon drops a TD...should we cut him? Carpenter misses 2 gimmies. 13 points right there...gone. Combine that with 2 inopportune turnovers, including 1 extremely deep in our own territory, and yeah, we lost.

But really, fire Sparano? 1-15? Suck for Luck? And you call yourselves fans? I think your expectations are too high and your consideration of our opponents is too low. Houston is not a scrub team. They are talented on both sides of the ball. We lost to 2 good teams in 2 different ways----1 because our defense couldn't stop them, 1 because our offense gave up too many opportunities. All of these things are correctable. We didn't look out of condition today, and we found a running back who can inflict damage and gain some yards the tough way. So we lost.....there are 14 more games to prove what some of you already claim to know. I, for one, will wait to see how things turn out.

Dont sugar coat it. The team is 0-2. And we cant just blame Henne anymore. This is a collective ******** of a team that we have.

I love it when people sugarcoat things when they run down "if this or that didn't happen".. blah blah phoey

Guess what. All those mistakes and miscues are routinely made by poor football teams.

That's why they're bad teams to begin with... and Miami is one of them as they routinely commit many miscues

No sugarcoating.

IE- bitch1ng and moaning about 2 turnovers on offense when you should really be bitch1ng why this defense wasn't able to create 3 or 4 turnovers of their own. How many turnovers did Houston commit again ?? Not as many as Miami did. In fact, Miami's defense couldn't even create a single turnover yesterday.

Miami's offense committed 2

Like I said, that's why they're bad teams to begin with.

This is Sparano's 4th year and he still doesn't know how to prepare the team. Hell, he doesn't even know how to conserve timeouts. It's time for him to go. How much longer are we going to say "We just need to improve *insert position* and then we're a playoff team." He's been given enough chances. How many consecutive 7-9 seasons are you willing to give this guy?

Our O-line has regressed every year since he's been here and that's his ****ing specialty.

as good as henne was last wekk overall he was just horrid this week. 12 of 30 ugh.

I don't think he was horrid to that degree. He was inaccurate, yes, but overall I'd grade him as a C-. He didn't cause us to lose the game, but he didn't help us win it either.

Staying on the topic of Chad Henne, you go back to what I said after the preseason and after the Monday night game against the Patriots. All of this "new look" Chad Henne stuff is great and all, but we're asking him NOW to be the one thing in his career that he has never been...

CONSISTENT

And this week, we got the same ol' inconsistent Chad Henne. You cannot win in this league with an inconsistent QB. You can throw for 400 yards against the Patriots in week one, but you have to come out and perform to par in the second week as well. You can only ride that one game high for a couple of days. Chad Henne's performance in the game against the Patriots was the biggest and brightest star in that loss. Why is no one talking about it today? Because it doesn't matter. This team has some serious holes...a lot of them that I pointed out yet again during the preseason...and that's why I felt like this was a 5-11 or 6-10 football team.

first of all the only people talking **** about thomas in the preseason were his coaches. he looked decent in preseason and he looked fine in the game. thomas is probably going to be a pretty good player. thomas isnt the issue. but come on man get real. were 0-2. again. two home losses. every team in the division is 2-0. we continue to have the same exact problems regardless of what u think u saw and its recurring. poor red zone efficiency. no turnovers caused and big plays to opposing receivers and tight ends.

rinse and repeat. sos.

red zone
no turnovers
give up big plays.

SAME ****. so stop sugar coating. it has been a problem for a LONG time and no these things have not been corrected

I agree with you. We didn't win the game but there is still 14 games its a long long long season and we are more talented then we have been in the past i'm still excited about us! Screw all the people who are so quick to say "We SUCK" blah blah blah! Shut up we are supporters not picketers!

with the exception of his newfound mobility it seems to be the same chad up and down. After two weeks Henne is the 25th rated passer in the league witha 79 rating previous two years around 75.

Never believe that garbage about Daniel Thomas. That kid is a horse. Loved seeing him turn it out today. Other than the fumble, he was a very bright spot for us.

FWIW, IMO the fumble was not at all Thomas's fault but more of a great play by the defender with a little bit of luck sprinkled on his helmet.

he was inconsistent today yes. he certainly didnt get any help, and he was under pressure. im curious to see where espn has him in qbr. although i wish we knew the formula. i do agree with their explanation of it tho. id give it more merit than passer rating. lets see where he ends up.
