Did I watch the same game?

with the exception of his newfound mobility it seems to be the same chad up and down. After two weeks Henne is the 25th rated passer in the league witha 79 rating previous two years around 75.

Eh, I see what you're saying but I've never been a fan of looking at box scores and statistics although I do like the new QBR a little.

I just like to sit down and watch the game live so I can be a fan. I can pick up a lot there. Later on in the week when I have time I like to sit down and watch it again with the volume muted. You see a lot more "football" that way. That's how the coaches watch it in the film room. There's no cheering or booing from the crowd. No commentators saying this and that. It's just you watching football and spotting weaknesses.

he was inconsistent today yes. he certainly didnt get any help, and he was under pressure. im curious to see where espn has him in qbr. although i wish we knew the formula. i do agree with their explanation of it tho. id give it more merit than passer rating. lets see where he ends up.

nothing wrong with passer rating. overall every year it shows a pretty damn true reflection who are the better qb's.

Statisitics can be skewed but overall in the ong run they tell a story. Watched the game he was very inaccurate some on him and some on line but he did not play well overall.

He doesn't respond well when pressured that's for sure. There were times when he would run away...just run straight back and throw off of his back foot.

it may seem to. and in general u are correct. but there are so many factors that make it so inaccurate. for instance the weight that a passing touchdown counts. what about a qb that runs it in on a play he can pass it? same outcome. looks like a worse passer when in fact he may have made a better or more safe football play - yet he gets penalized. what about a receiver that gets to the one on a long pass and then the offense runs the ball in? what accounts for henne only having 1 dropped interception last year? and sanchez had 15 dropped?? what if those two numbers were reversed? miami would be in the playoffs, henne a hero and sanchez a goat.

passer rating is extremely flawed. and anybody watching the game today should have seen that his game, while inconsistent today, was not nearly as bad as the passer rating would leave u to believe it was.

for this game its simply a poor measure of his play. sorry.

on a whole season of data? perhaps its a better measure and perhaps generally the best qbs would be at the top. but it really is flawed data.

Great Post... The finheaven is full of negative fans. Thats why the media thinks we have a terrible fan base. I am upset to be apart of such a bad fan base but no matter what im gonna stay a fin fan and keep being positive.

well u dont need a rating system to tell u a guy that completes 40 percent of his passes played poor.

No, I didn't see the same game. I watched it with the rose-colored glasses off...so what I saw was clearly different from what you saw.

Fist pumps...duh...

I just finished watching the game, and I popped on here to read the general consensus. I'm actually shocked at the overreaction of people on here. Last week, we played, arguably, the best team in the league, and we couldn't stop them. This week, we play a team with 4 legitimate stars on offense-Johnson, Foster, Schaub, and Daniels. Did they light it up on us? No. The places where we failed last week were, relatively successful this week (comparatively speaking). Johnson had less than 100 yards on us...even with Vontae missing most of the game, and Schaub threw for 230 yards. We had pressure on the passer and corrected the majority of our mistakes from last week.

On offense, we shined last week, and Henne looked like a leader. This week, he wasn't nearly as consistent, but he was hardly the one to get all of the blame. Did Bush look like a world-beater? No. But, he also had far fewer touches. Daniel Thomas, how did he look? People can talk all the crap they want, but he looked tremendous today. Indecisive during the preseason? Not today. He was straight-ahead and powerful with 5+ yards per carry. Did he fumble? Yes....on a perfect hit. My god....he's a bust....no one fumbles.....ever!!!! What about Brandon? What about Carpenter? Brandon drops a TD...should we cut him? Carpenter misses 2 gimmies. 13 points right there...gone. Combine that with 2 inopportune turnovers, including 1 extremely deep in our own territory, and yeah, we lost.

But really, fire Sparano? 1-15? Suck for Luck? And you call yourselves fans? I think your expectations are too high and your consideration of our opponents is too low. Houston is not a scrub team. They are talented on both sides of the ball. We lost to 2 good teams in 2 different ways----1 because our defense couldn't stop them, 1 because our offense gave up too many opportunities. All of these things are correctable. We didn't look out of condition today, and we found a running back who can inflict damage and gain some yards the tough way. So we lost.....there are 14 more games to prove what some of you already claim to know. I, for one, will wait to see how things turn out.

I don't know...do you call yourself a realist?

We've lost like 10 out of the last 11 home games......Does that inspire confidence in this team for you?

What if we start our 1-4 or 0-5....will you then say we played 4 or 5 of the best teams in the league? Because that is where we are heading.

"You guys aren't real fans!"

:lol::crazy:

I told you guys last week that the 400 yards was good and all but without TDs we weren't looking at such a big deal. Like I said then, the yards were a positive sign but it wasnt all roses, that redzone offense looked BAD.

This week, samething inside the 20s. All the positive plays between the 20s doesnt mean much if you cant score TDs.

Like I said last week, I'll take much less yards so long as we get in that endzone.

There should be some rule against posting within 24 hours of any Dolphins loss because the IQ levels just drop terribly on this forum, we are not going 1-15, we are not a bad team, we've gone 0-2 and won the division before, let's focus on getting a win against Cleveland and take this thing one game at a time. Go fins.
