That is debatable.

IMO, he looked just like he did with the Lions. For the most part, he plays a good game, but he makes a couple of bonehead throws that cost his team the game. And NOBODY should try to defend those two picks.

Pick #1 - he has plenty of time to survey the field. The problem is that he stares down his receiver for a full 3 seconds. Asante Samuel jumps the route. No surprise. That's Joey being Joey - and a good corner doing what a good corner does. The Pats ensuing drive results in a TD.

Pick #2 - Joey throws a bullet behind Welker. Wes does a pretty good job of just getting his hands on the ball. Tipped and a tough INT for Samuel. Hell, if Wes doesn't manage to tip the ball, it's right in Samuel's bread-basket for an easy INT. Pats ensuing drive results in a TD. Sure, Will Allen had a blatent PI, but Harrington's pick had our D in that position is the first place.

That's the game.

I don't care about whatever good throws or managing the game that Harrington did out side of those picks. Or the sack... or his quick release... blah blah blah.... Those 2 plays cost us the game.

You can't pin this whole loss on the shoulders of Joey. What about Ronnie Browns fumble and key dropped pass? What about the blocked field goal or the piss poor play calling from Mularkey again? I think these things cost us the game more than Joey did.:dolphins:

Good luck getting anybody to agree with what appears to be common sense, everybody is so anti Culpepper that they'll take a performance like this and go on about how great he played. Although Joey brought a spark to the offense that was nice to see, he's interception prone and has been his whole career. For an offense that struggles to put up points, you cant start a QB that has the tendancy to turn the ball over in your own end, it asks the defense to do alot more than we already ask them to do. I said this in a post last week, the one thing Daunte didnt do his last two games that joey would do is throw the big pick. Not to take anything away from Harrington, we put up a good fight thanks in part to his ability to get rid of the ball, but i just dont see how u can throw an interception prone QB into an offense that isnt clicking on all cylinders. I'd like to see the team keep on giving Daunte the chance to progress ( as I think he has in some areas over his last two games) and see if we can eventually get that same spark that was a pleasant surprise today while hes under center

For the most part I agree, that was vintage Joey today. Solid game but costly turnovers. Bottom line: we only scored 10 points and the Dolphins O gave up to many turnovers that resulted in points for the Patsies.

I don't think anyone is pinning the whole lost on Harrington but we're talking 14pts here for the other team. If you don't think giving the other team 14pts is big then you're in denial.

i agree. he played ok. but to me it looked like the whole team was busting but out there. Then again it made some stupid plays. that cost us the game. Joey looked good for 2 quarters, but u know what. it was not in the 4 quarter and thats what counts. CP is going to be the leader of this team. When he is healthy.

Joey's 2 picks led to 14 points for the Pats. We lost by 10. You do the math.

Were there other plays today that left points on the field? Yes. Any plays or points left bigger than those 2 plays? No.

To make matters worse for these two QBs, our rushing attack is a reverse to Chambers. Ronnie Brown is not going to be close to getting 1,000 yards this season and we are a one-dimensional team right now. Maybe the 6 game win streak was not such a good thing last season, seeing how none of those QBs returned to our team. If we could've gotten a top 10 pick we could have Leinart or Cutler and we wouldn't have had to trade a second rounder to the Vikings. But Hindsight is 20/20 and right now we have the least productive 1st round pick so far (except for Chad Greenway who's on IR ofcourse)

As for the line, Spielman made a big mistake a couple of years ago not picking up RG Bobbie Williams who wasn't gonna break the bank. And we should've signed Marlon McCree this last off-season, he's playing solid for S.D. at FS. He could've started and we wouldn't have had to pick Jason Allen, although Saban probably would have anyway, since it seems he relies more on combine results than NFL potential.

I'm just venting frustration so don't take this post too seriously. I can't sleep and there you have my post...take it with a grain of salt...

I agree, just as you couldn't pin the Texans,Steelers or Bills loss on Daunte.

No way, Daunte lost all those games, this loss was a team loss.

First off, you can't say that the 2nd pick was entirely Joey's fault. He give us more opportunities to score than Culpepper. I'm neither a Daunte or Joey homer, but I have to say that Joey looked like an all around better QB today, and that was agaisnt a very good team.

I'll give you a couple key reasons why we lost today:

- The offside penalties...and that holding call from Justin Peele was HUGE....we would of had the ball at like the 2 yard line which most likely would of led to a score like our other TD.

- A couple of CLUTCH mistakes by Ronnie Brown, first one being the fumble. The second one, and MORE IMPORTANT ONE, was the 3rd down play that Joey hit him right in the hands and he just DROPPED it. A good player comes out to play at good times. I'm not saying he's a bad RB yet, but today made me realize that he doesn't have good vision and can't bust into holes like a good running back should. Who knows, maybe it was just a really off day for him, but I haven't seen anything else to prove otherwise yet.

All around, Daunte or Joey lovers both have to admit that we looked better than we have all season against a very good team. :dolphins:

I don't really know about samuels being a good corner. Servicable yes. Good? Meh. He did look good against us though :boohoo:
