We all have to admit the way Jason Taylor left the dolphins was a bit sketchy last year. It's hard to believe someone who had bled aqua and orange and would do anything for the team would leave for the green (money or the jets, both the color of evil) especially over something as silly as the Front Office not discussing contracts until after the draft. The guy is a South Florida icon. Didn't it seem like a "Say it ain't so" kinda moment, a scenario that you thought you'd never ever see?

What if it was all planned?

What if Sparano and JT agreed that he'd play for the Jets for a 1 year contract, learn all he could, and return from them with inside knowledge of the biggest rival we have? It would take total commitment from JT, he could make some bank on the side, get in deep with the enemy, then return with a treasure trove of secrets?

The good news is, regardless if it's true or not, we just got a whole lot of inside info on the Jets.

LMAO, no it was not planned. However, I am sure he can give valuable insight into Rex's system to the Dolphins coaches...

Yeah he can help us out. It's gamesmanship, like when they snatched up useless Patrick Turner. It's no conspiracy though, lol.

This is a riot, i was thinking the same thing, on top of learning Rex's tricks we now have a solid vet to teach our youngsters. Our defense will be top 5 no doubt.

I don't think it was planned either. As Skape said so, some inside info from him could be useful (though probably only a little)

Taylor is 37. There is no way he would sacrifice one of the precious few NFL years he has left to 'infiltrate' the Jets...

I think he seems to like Rex Ryan far more than he likes any of our staff or Sparano. And actually, I don't think JT is going to tell our staff anything useful about Jets' D.

After playing with a team like Washington, youll do anything..

Unless Jason Taylor learned how to play quarterback while he was in New York, he's not going to help Sparano much. Sorry 'bout that...

I doubt it. Maybe this is a job for Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy theories...

LOL. I thought about this conspiracy theory also. I guess anything is possible.

Some days I just love this site and threads like this are why! Yes absolutely during the summer of 2010 Taylor spent several weeks in Langley, VA where he trained with the CIA and NSA learning the espionage arts of surveillance, intelligence gathering, and shadowing. The disdain he and Parcells had for eachother was all a show to get the Jets to bite.
