Did Miami really win the Texans trade?

I would like to say that I would have preferred Tunsil instead of the guys we drafted with the picks in that trade but paying a guy the money he is making when said guy is not one of the 3 best tackles in the game would not be a win in my book.

I guess it's like winning the lottery but then blowing the money on crap and being broke again after a couple of years.

The Pitt trade was probably worse. We traded minka for Austin Jackson
And there it is..dude is not the all world player he is some people's eyes. He's good. Nothing more...Holland will show what a team player can do...and do it better.

Holland has 2QB hits and a fumble recovery in less than half the snaps of MF. MF gave up a 66 yd score. It'll all even out...but I argue we won by attrition with that trade. But bleh to the homerun it could have been.

That being said...using Jackson to kick me is just...painful.

I think Waddle and Holland are both future pro bowl players. That alone is a win. I’m not giving up on Iggy. Way too much talent. Could it be our secondary is just that good?

Consider the fact that Watson has been sacked almost 100 times in the 2 seasons Tunsil has been there. He now makes roughly $22M per season. The reality is having one good OT doesn’t make your OL that much better when the rest of the guys suck. We’d be paying the guy $22M a year and the rest of our line would still be JAGs. Not to mention he wouldn’t even be Tua’s blindside protector as he wouldn’t play RT.

Short term? Yes.
Long term? NBD.

I believe Tunsil is getting 22mil because Bill was an idiot and gave him tons of leverage in negotiation talks by giving away the farm for him.
