He blocked that PAT that we ran back for 2 points so at the end we only needed that FG to win the game. At the time I almost didn't care as I was so upset at losing Tannehill but hearing the good news today and back on and hoping we win every game. That was a big play and I haven't seen anything posted about it so props to him for making that play. Sorry if anyone posted something on this already and btw, props to our kicker for not missing anything on that horrible weather while their guy missed 3

Did you also notice branch pitched the ball back to Walt? Branch was an absolute beast and the fins need to do what it takes to keep.

I was thinking the same. That was a huge play (by Phillips and Aikens) which kind of got lost with the Tannehill injury.

I didnt even know that...smart move considering its end zone or bust. Yeah that play was huge, but if we play woulda coulda, that final drive probably could have ended in a TD so i wouldnt say it was a sure loss without it.

Yeah I thought he was gonna pick it up and get tackled, then suddenly it was moving doent he sideline., what a play! Thats the kinda plays winning teams make. Denver got a win off one of those. Look at how important that win was now.

If that extra point just goes through the uprights, that fg at the end is to tie. I'm not sure we win in OT.

Walt Aikens made a good play on the runback. Scooping up a wet football can be difficult, but he immediately recognized the best path to the end zone behind the blocking convoy that was forming up there.

All things being equal we would have won by one instead of three.

It would have been interesting to see how that final drive would have gone if the Cardinals had a two point lead.

What I really like is the fact he's at least playing hard. How many guys would just take that play off? But there he was playing hard and trying to make a blocked that doesn't happen very often. If we're going to look back and the pass Stills dropped on week one then we also need to look at this when it's a positive play like that. That was a real TEAM win. Both QB's helped. The offnse helped. The defense had some great moments and the ST's did too.

I was thrilled with that 2 point return at the time....but the importance of it escaped me until a bit later.

Phillips was definitely one of the unsung hero's for that game. There were a lot of them in addition to Phillips.....the defense on that final Cardinals drive getting a 3 and out. Landry with that Last punt return, Matt Moore and Kenny Stills with that throw and catch to get us to the goal line and Franks for hitting the field goal.

This win was a team effort.....nicely done.
