The conclusion: “Ellis is a physically talented lineman who was an outstanding small school player, and he possesses the skills to make an NFL roster. If he does what is necessary off-the-field to become a better football player, he could stick around the NFL for a while.”

Sounds like a good pick-up, and given Parcells and Co.’s success last year snagging undrafted rookies Davone Bess and Dan Carpenter one or two of these nine free agents just might have an impact.

Hmmmmm..is there another undrafted gem found by the trifecta...just when Solari was starting to breath, along comes a potential D. Bess pt. 2.

He's from my neck of the woods & he's a beast. But he tended to disappear late in games and he plays a bit too high.

If they can coach him up, he'll be a stud in the middle. I think he benches in the 500+ range.

He would be a HUGE steal if he can put it all together. No pun intended.

No doubt man.

It's funny, I just read the scouting report on him in S.I and they say he plays at a good pad level ... I guess that's true, before he runs out of gas.

I imagine TS will whip him into shape and that by itself might go a long way.

I believe that undrafted guys have almost a better potential then 1st round picks. Undrafted guys fight for everything. They do their best and give it everything they have, because if they don't they could lose their job just like that. I love the work ethic of guys like this.

Pretty intriguing prospect. It'll be curious to see how he does at camp.

Could have gotten a real steal.

Here's a little more reporting on him....best of luck Louis....

If he works real hard at this in camp he will probably have plenty of opportunities this preseason, with Jason most likely being rested for the regular season.

he reminds of Solari, in terms of learning how to use the hands and keep the feet planted and shed blocks, so I see him as a bit of a project, but a big project that could pay off.

While we are on this subject how are we set up for depth at dt ?

is there still a chance we will add a linebacker from a undrafted rookie pool ?

He’ll be all-pro for us if not sooner. Great teeth for a big dude. Slight overbite. He’ll be all-pro for us.
