Just wondering what everyone thinks??? Brohm got taken one pick before we took Henne. If Brohm was there would we have taken him over Henne??

It's the Kalil/Satele thing all over again..

Remember Kalil was rated as the #1 center in the draft. And last year he was taken by Carolina one spot ahead of Satele.

Well Satele turned out to be the much better player (looking at the play of both last season).. Kalil was manhandled and looked horrible and weak. Then Carolina took him out.

Let's hope the same thing happens here with the Brohm/Henne back to back selections.

I think Brohm's injury history made him too much of a risk for Parcells and he would have drafted Henne anyway because of his perceived toughness.

Good point. I kinda forgot about that. I was really pissed when Kalil got taken right before us. But Satele looks like he has a real future. Im in Wisconsin and I am watching the draft with a bunch of Packer fans and they keep giving me crap about stealing our QB from us.

No. Reports were that the Dolphins took Merling over Henne at 32 because they couldn't pass up the extreme value there, and cheered when Henne was there at 57 when Brohm was taken by GB. Literally cheered. That tells you all you need to know about Beck having a chance to compete fairly.

NOOOO. Parcells wanted henne. It was the worst kept secret of the draft.

Parcells wanted [H]enne.

Yep. Brohm will do well in a West Coast system. He doesn't have the big arm that Flacco or Henne have but will do well as a system guy. Green Bay's a good fit for him...I don't think Miami would have been.

Henne will be fine. Lee will get him to stop staring down his receivers and he'll be a good NFL quarterback.
