So Huard throws the ball off one of his own players, and it gets picked by Pololmalu, and Larry Johnson is able to drag him down by his hair, and then the refs say he gets a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty. I swear to God if thats the case then the NFL should be called the NPL.
 
He got penalized for taunting, not for tackling him by his hair (which is legal). I didn't see any taunting though.
 
Hair is considered part of the uniform. It was for taunting.

Personally, I think they should have rewarded him for holding up the hair and sent Polamalu back 15 yds for allowing him to tackle him by the hair.
 
Oh I dont like pitt,Personally I wish he would have pulled a pair of scissors from his cleats and cut it off.:tongue:
 
I posted this before they said what it was. I think the refs need their rectums smashed into their brain cavity's if they think that was taunting.

No but i think they will make a rule stating you cant have your hair past your helmet.

no they wont. there is no way in hell the players association would allow that rule to pass.
 
He held onto the hair for half a second too long which was taunting him.
 
theres nothing wrong with tackling him by the hair, it was after he was out of bounds and on the ground he continued to pull it... whats the problem there? it was an easy call... its like if LJ would have tackled him regularly while he was out of bounds, then grabbed his jersey and dragged him around afterwards...

its not about the hair, its about LJ continuing after the play was dead
 
He pulled him off the ground by his hair after the tackle.... Its legal to tackle by the hair... Ask Ricky who had dreads pulled out on numerous occasions...
