JJust seen on espn that bradshaw resigned with the giants on a 4 yr 18 mil contrct with 9 guarenteed. Bush is an exciting player but bradshaw is definatly the better running back and im wondering if we should have waited longer. We kept hearing he was out of our price range but those numbers sure don't suggest that. Maybe he wanted to go back but a couple million extra might have got him here. Not to mention we had to trade for bush.

Im sure initially he wasnt going to accept that...its only now that there isnt anyone else left he is taking that

We gave up a 6th (I believe) and Amaya for Bush. Not really anything much. We traded to avoid having him hit the open market, which I think was a pretty good move. Plus Bradshaw has quite an injury history (which yes Bush does too) - multiple stress fractures in foot and has had this past year had bone spurs removed form his ankle (see here: http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/football/ffl/story?id=6824478 ) so it wasnt like he was in tip top shape and is fumble prone. Honestly I dont mind not getting him and I dont think we gave up too soon. We had a price set for him and I am glad we didnt choke. I also really like the Reggie pick up. The guy is a CRAZY threat with the ball in his hands EVERY TIME he gets it plus we finally have a GREAT PR too.

Bradshaw would have been nice, but we did draft Daniel Thomas in round 2. Bradshaw would likely have taken more carries away from him. If we want to let Thomas develop, the only way to do that is to give him touches. You can use Reggie Bush in a lot more creative ways than Bradshaw so I'm not broken up over the move.

4 years $18 mil...$9 mil guaranteed...damn...thats peanuts...gotta wonder if some medical held him back on that contract...somethings up...or he just loves being a damn giant and the moneys not a real issue for him...which i find hard to believe

Not like our doctors would have botched it up..... cough drew brees cough!

but i didnt like bradshaw (for the supposed money he was going to get) at the price it would have cost to get him.
But if anyone... ANYONE... sees the deal he got and would prefer signing bradshaw as a free agent for literally the same deal we had to trade for reggie bush for over reggie, they are either out of their mind, the biggest homer in the history of homers, or needs to put down the meth pipe.

btw hoops.. mark another one down for me in the win column :)

I would have preferred Bradshaw to Bush, (although transactionally it wasn't apples-2-apples)...but clearly home is where the heart is and he gave the Giants the kind of hometown discount we wouldn't have enjoyed.

Being that he's better than Bush in every way and he ended up coming CHEAPER. I'd say YES.

He was either trying to use the Giants for leverage or he outsmarted himself and the money he "thought" he was getting wasn't there and the Giants were left.

I wish we'd kept the possibility open, I would love to have Bradshaw that cheap.
