Did we give up to soon on Chad Henne...?

Then you didn't watch. His only good drive was the opening drive. After that, crap.

He's on a terrible team, though.

You have to balance it out.

We have more talent on both sides of the ball.

I by no means was a Henne fan, but winning 3 out of the last 4 on a struggling team is decent bright spot.

Yeah, MJD is terrible, so is Shorts III, Ace Sanders is terrible as well.

They were playing the WORST team in the NFL and Henne looked like garbage.

We get it, you hate Tannehill, you will go down in the Finheaven hall of fame as the biggest Tannehill hater to ever make a post. Your point has been made!

They've won 3 of 4. What's Henne's overall record as a starting QB in Jacksonville? Look that up for me.

It's not good. In fact, it's awful. Because Chad Henne is awful.

I do not hate Tannehill. I want him to improve is all and I set the standard, if we finish 9-7 and miss the playoffs.

Says the guy who wanted him to get injured so Devlin could get a shot.

Forgive me if I don't believe this garbage.

Irony = A person bagging on Tannehill after 1.5 seasons of college and 1.7 seasons of Pro all while asking to give Henne more time (after 4 seasons of college ball and 4 seasons of Pro ball).

If anything shows the insanity of the RT haters, this is it.

This plus all the supposedly "objective" posts that Shouright trots out, lol. So-called "objective" but somehow twisted so subjectively, lol. Haters gonna hate.

holy geez OP, are u gauging Henne's ball placement?? it's still gawd awful. for every hit, there are at least 5 misses! if his (gigantic) head hasn't hit the ceiling, it's gotta be bending an A-frame to near-death.

No, we should have given up on Henne week 4 of the 2010 season right after that disaster at home vs the Pats where Belechick just had his D sit back as he watched Henne dump passes off to Rob Ninkovich. Right then we should have made the switch back to Pennington who only lasted a play when he was called upon later that year so we likely would have been stuck with Henne anyway. Henne is terrible, he failed like 90% of the time when the game was on the line. I was really hoping Houston scored on there 2nd to last posession so ole Chad would get the ball with 3 minutes or so left needing an FG to tie and TD to win. I think I all know what the result would have been. Matt Moore is a much better QB than Henne and we all know what this site thinks of him. Our offense looked the best it had for years once he settled in after Henne got hurt. Tannehill is, will be much better than both.

I get frustrated in the heat of games at times and have posted negative comments about Tannehill (this weeks was something to the tune of if this game is Dolphins 6 Jets 0 going into the 4th quarter we need to move on at QB) but it wasn't because Tannehill stepped up. That Jets game was the kind of game we would have on like 6 or 9 - 0 with Henne at QB.

All and all when i step back and think about how Tannehill is such an inexperienced QB and is pretty much asked to carry the team (look how out of balance we are) he's doing a great job. It's not good enough yet but he is progressing where Henne was always the same guy and he still is now. Sherman, no matter how much we hate him, asks a lot of Tannehill and I think he has a lot of trust in him whereas Henning, who I know we all hated as well, wold call plays in such a way that Henne wouldn't blow the game. It should be obvious who the better QB is.

Henne was ruined by the coaching he received while in MIAMI. From Sparano to Henning to Pennington. Sadly, he never had a chance with that trio.

:bobdole:

Henne needed to start fresh - his confidence was low and well.... he hasn't improved - Tannehill has more upside
