Did we give up to soon on Chad Henne...?

Useless thread.......go away put some thought into a post and post something worth while. Were you that starved for attention you had 2 spew out this garbage. mods should move this , are you aware of anything let alone football. The mods should move this junk thread.

A lot of people believed in Henne, he just needed a chance to develop is what we all would hear. I was not a fan of Henne either, just pointed out that they had won 3 out of last 4 and we're perhaps the worst team at the start of the season.

He and Mike Glennon can host their own pity party next year when other guys are starting in their place despite late season wins.

What would a forum like this look like in the 1980s and 90s?

Would there be guys obsessed with Marino's failures? Would we have threads begging for Strock, Kosar, and Mitchell to start? I can see it clery: no running game is Marino's fault. Bad defense is Marino's fault (time of possession). Stephenson's injury would be his fault.

Good lord. I'm not saying Tannehill is Marino, but the guy is improving as teams get more tape on him. This is the point where Henne started failing.

It's been a long season and I'd hate to see it slip away. Had we won at least 2 games this season, and we could have, we'd be in perfect position to make the playoffs.

For people to post Ryan Tannehill is the "real-deal" based on no real facts, and we're teetering making/missing the playoffs is a bit premature .

Our defense has really improved and has kept us in a lot of games, yet I never read anything on here about them.

We almost lost to the Steelers, so lets not get way over our heads here.

I could tell you countless games even with Marino, where we controlled our own destiny, and had the softer schedule, yet we lost games we should have won.

Our d was not good in our losses: Tampa, New Orleans, NE, buffalo, Baltimore, Carolina.

We gave up leads against NE, Baltimore, and Carolina with the D. Tampa ran down our throats. NO dominated. Buffalo let a practice squad QB make plays and stay in the game.

Don't kid yourself. The d has had flashes, but they are barely above average.

There absolutely were morons clamoring for Scott Mitchell in the 90s. A lot of them. And believe me, the sports pages were worse than the internet ever was. Edwin Pope wanted Don Shula run out of town more than once.

Was it Cote or Pope who notoriously pushed for the idea of keeping Scott Mitchell over Marino? The ignorance in those articles blew my mind and I was a ****ing kid. Lot of opinions in the world. Not many are worth a damn. As dire a situation as modern sports journalism is, it's not a recent phenomenon.

I don't remember, to be honest. I want to say Greg Cote because he's an idiot who has said a lot of other really stupid things in the sports pages over the years, but I'm probably wrong. Honestly, the reason these guys say dumb things is just that... they're dumb. Dan Le Batard is the smartest of the bunch, and that's only because he readily admits he doesn't know a goddamn thing about football and just likes writing human interest stories about athletes.

Jaguars have won 3 out of there 4 last games with Chad Henne, which begs this question, should we have been more patient with Henne...?

Can Ryan Tannehill win 3 out of our next 4 to get to the next level...?

If we finish 9-7, I feel that will be progress. (meant to say if we at least win 3 to finish out 9-7 or 10-6)

Yeah Dolphins gave up too early on Chad Henne, but Ryan Tannehill is way better than him.

In my mind I still think Henne is better than Moore in several aspects of the game and would have opted to keep him.
During his last game with Miami he got injured trying to move the chains for himself. His courage is unique.

I enjoyed rooting for him when his rocket-launching arm torched the Jets, but that's past as today he plays for Jags.

I trust Philbin will find a way to lead our team into playoffs.

OMG. Chad Henne SUCKS. He has the innate ability to choke even when everything is going his way. Now, he looked like he had some promise when he first started playing for us but perhaps Morono ruined him with the egg-timer in his ear in practice thing... He is terrible.

Scott Mitchell - I remember these idiots. After the kid played a few good games before he got hurt - reminds me of AJ Feely or Matt Flynn syndrome. Mitchell got a huge contract with the Lions for his efforts so good for him I suppose.
