Did we save the Arkansas style of offense just to play to pats. It is very hard to defend a new style of offense when the NFL hasnt ever seen it. I think it caught them off guard but its not gonna work this well every week. But now it is gonna be a little tougher to game plan against miami now after they see this game.

We certainly did get lucky today with that, but we played such a complete game today that we would have won without the gimmick plays. We were as good outside the red zone as we were within.

I don't worry about not being able to use this kind of stuff every week, I worry about not facing an inexperienced Matt Cassell every week. If our offense can even be 2/3 as effective as they were today, though, I think we can compete in every game we paly this year (we still aren't a good team but of showing some signs that we can become one).

Exactly, good post, but the play today was something seen in each game leading up to this.. Less plenties, discipline showed up a lot today, that helps a young team, but as far as the making of a good team 1-2 years down the road, we'll begining to see the roadmap.. Especially if he keep collecting talent. I hope we remain patient with the team as it rebuilds.

I'm not sure we can play like this day in and out but I am honestly enjoying this. This is one of the happiest days for me as a fin fan! This will be a victory to remember for a long long time.

JMO but when you have such a turn over in both the coaching staff and the roster, the coaches are gonna take a little bit of time to figure out how to use their roster.

David Lee was on Houston Nutt's staff so he and Hennig probably wanted to see how that could work with Ricky/Ronnie.

Also think they wanted to be a little careful with both Ricky and Ronnie since both ended the year on IR last year, and Ricky had only played 1 quarter of NFL football in the last 2 years prior to this season. Which was my only gripe with the offense the first two weeks, we barely ran it and we're a team built to run. Defense...well the biggest problem was safeties (Crocker) being out of position, now my only gripe is that the only guy on our team with an INT is Randy Starks (one of the biggest guys on our team)

where was this at the beginning of the year, they should not hold nothing back in the playbook they show all there cards

again, I think they were all trying to be vanilla, especially last week, because of changes. New FB, new RG, still not knowing our WRs, Ronnie's ACL (and yeah he looked great this week, but I have no problem being careful with Ronnie the first month of the season).

Part of me hopes this is a sign of things to come, and part of me prays this wasn't just a try anything to get a win before the bye week (ala Llyod Carr running a Wake Forrest like spread against Florida in his final game so he Henne,Hart, and Jake could leave on top)

I am just surprised they used this formation SIX times during the game and each time it worked. You would think after the first or second time that the Pats would have caught on an adjusted to defend it. Miami just dominated when they used that play.

I bet we will soon see that play with a handoff to Ricky and then Ricky attempting a pass to Pennington. You just know that will happen.
