Did We Try to Trade for The Wrong Denver QB?

Did you see him play the end of last year for Denver? Did you watch him at all in Florida? Guy is a baller. Does his game translate to a traditional NFL QB? Maybe not, but he can definitely run from the QB position. Don't tell me your questioning this. There are no answers for the Line this year, so we gotta adapt

Again, Tebow is a first round draft pick in his second year who couldn't even beat out a QB that Denver didn't really even want. You know as well as I do that College abilities don't always translate well to the NFL. And how many "non-traditional" QB's have won the Super Bowl?

Am I talking about your starting QB? No-I'm talking about a weapon. I'm not talking about winning a Super Bowl either; unless you have delusions about the Dolphins. Can a Spread style QB win a Super Bowl? Don't know yet. I would have loved to see someone take Vick, Vince Young (before he went crazy) or Tebow and catered an offense to them rather than trying to fit them to another offense. Surround them with weapons, a good line, a running game and a good defense and see what happens. I would expect them to be a success rather than a failure.

You're basically talking about the Wildcat starring Tim Tebow. One thing I definitely don't want to see ANY MORE of is Henne with a hot hand, marching down the field to the redzone only to be replaced with the wildcat. Not just no, HELL NO. I honestly believe that our red zone issues can be improved through more conventional means than resorting to the "TimCat".

Curiously, this past week Kyle Orton had a fantastic game inside the red zone, but awful out of it.

Perhaps he *should've* traded for him after all ;)

I swear some people think Tim Tebow = Jesus Christ in pads and a jock strap, yet, he can't even beat out Kyle Orton. Of all the possible solutions to our issues, bringing in Tim freaking Tebow is about the most ridiculous one I've heard.

Actually, he couldn't even beat out Brady Quinn for the backup QB role. Tebow was #3 on the Donkeys' depth chart at the start of the season, and I don't think anything's changed since.

Hear me out, I know alot of people aren't Tebow fans and doubt whether he can be a bonafide NFL QB; I agree with some of that. But he is a great red zone and goal line weapon as he showed scoring 6 TD's in Denver last year. We should have Henne run 20 to 20 and bring Tebow in to play QB in the Red Zone. They aren't using him in Denver; offer them Matt Moore-we don't need him. If he plays horrible, so what, we get closer to a great draft pick. If he plays great, we have a great weapon for next year.

Yes.

Hell I've skipped reading page page 2 & 3. I don't need to because I imagine most of us would be against bringing him in. Ok he can't hurt us to have as back-up, but for goal line situations "O rly?" QB by commitee lmao! IDK why all this perception he is an endzone god, he was a monster in College, but Im pretty sure he is not on the field for a reason, he can't throw nor read defense jesus! So what does it matter if Marshall will drop his passes to anyways and plus he can't beat out Orton for god sakes. That says it all!

On a note, I don't care if I get bashed for this, but I would really like to bring in Brady Quinn! I wanted him instead of Cam Cam's incestred family friends friends kid(GINN). I think he has potential and reason he won't ever start over Orton baring injury is because the fans will go bezerk because of their love affair and wasted pick with Tebow. Cleveland can't develop talent, seems depressing, lol joakim noah knows what hes talking about. Your put under so much pressure to win and change things around, it becomes overwhelming and just changes your approach. #Bust city!

I understand the doubters, but I'm not meaning as your full time QB; I'm talking about a red zone threat. Let's face it-Matt Moore is not the answer. Hypothetically, if we could trade him to Denver for Tebow, then Tebow becomes your number two. If it works out, you can still draft Luck or whoever and Henne is your number two with Tebow your number three or perhaps he gains some trade value or you use him in special packages. If he sucks, so what? He leads us to a higher draft pick, we let him go and Henne becomes your number two next year and your new man takes over.

so denver is going to essentially give us a first round pick (wasn't tebow like 21???), for matt ****ing moore???? just stop

Well Kyle Orton doesn't have anything around him the is even decent. Tebow would look lost with the offense Denver has.

Yeah, I heard you out ... NO 0-16 wanted!! You didn't read his accuracy in pre-season was about the same as Pat White??

Tebow will be free & low-salaried within a couple years ... and out of football a couple years after that.

You'd think watching all of OUR stinkerpoos ... fans could figure out what will happen with other stinkerpoos!! Folks are getting so poor, they can't Pay Attention!!

Whoa bring in another QB when we inside the 20? Tony wont like this think he would rather center the ball for carpenter
