I couldnt get the game here and im reading about Ronnie having a bad game, 12 rushes for 3 yards or something like that.

What really happened? Was he being tackled in the backfield? Did he not run hard? I know he was not 100% but this doesnt sound like him.

Haters please dont respond most of you are on ignore. I want to hear from true dolphin fans.

They used a spread offense to take advantage of a poor viks secondary...when Ronnie did run he did get caught in the backfield a few times...thats what the best run defense will do!..his carries where limited ...he did have a fumble at the goaline which was also a bit of bad handoff from joey...the ball was moving when he recieved it !I think the groin was a factor also...hope he is ready for a big game for joeys return to detroit on T-DAY....

we just had no push....the vikes run d is sick...ronnie was hopping around a bit too much too

Pretty simple I think, the Vikings came in with the #1 run defense and showed us why.. They swarmed all over the ball everytime it got into Ronnie's or Sammy's hands.. Thank god they have no pass rush what so ever, or they would be a pretty fair team.. But I haven't seen anything like that in a while.. They made our O-Line look like crap while trying to run block.. If you can come away with the W despite being held to -3 yards on the ground, you came out ok.. Ronnie and the line should look much better Thursday against the Lions, as their defense isn't playing particularly well..

They stuffed him in the backfield repeatedly. Run blocking wasn't the greatest on Sunday and I think they gave up on the run way too early, but I have to give Minn credit, they played the run D pretty well. The other thing was that their pass D was horrible. With the exception of one bad pass decision by Joey, they picked them apart pretty easily. I can see now why the Pats killed them. Minn will not be close to a contender until they play some D and stop the O turnovers. Miami didn't play a great game offensively either. They left 17 points off the board that they should have had. Opening drive fumble on the Min goal line (7pts). Another Mare FG missed that should have been made (3pts) & a long touchdown pass in the second half that was called back for holding (7pts). Thank goodness our D and JT saved the day and got the W for us as we almost gave that one away.

There was absolutely no where to run, no holes at all. Add to that the best run defense played against us with Ronnie at less than 100%.

I was saying that too. I understand the run wasnt going well, but you cant abandon it from the beginning like that. Its tough to win games throwing the ball constantly, especially if you have a lead and need to kill some clock. At worst just run it on first down and see what happens. If thats not working, only use it on short yardage or with multiple TE's and a FB blocking.

There was one point on 2nd and 2 and 3rd and 2 where they threw it both times. Should have run the ball on 2nd down and then throw on 3rd if it was still 2 yards or more to get. I believe thats when Mare missed the field goal.

I'm confused? I thought I posted a response to you last night???

Well, I watched the game twice yesterday, as I recorded it. Ronnie needs a FB to run behind. MIA abandoned the run from the get go. They started the game from the shotgun and went 2 minute drill the whole 1st quarter.

The OLine opened wide open holes on the left side but Ronnie went the opposite way twice and ran right into Carey and Shelton.

Also, Chambers missed his block of the CB twice which got Ronnie tackled twice.

Then when Ronnie did hit a hole...a LB would come immediately and tackle him for minimal gain which is why I believe that if we had a FB in there he would've blocked that LB and Ronnie would've had a few more yards.

All in all, Ronnie only attempted 12 rushes all game. So that's your answer.

Oh, and Mcmichael also missed a few blocks that led to tackling in the backfield as well.

The Vikings defended the run. That was their mission, and they succeeded. They blitzed safeties and linebackers to stop Ronnie Brown, who was often hit in the backfield. That's why Joey Harrington had such a good first half -- because Their corner backs had to play way off the wide receivers so as not to give up the big play.

Kudos to all of our WRs/TEs for having very solid hands yesterday.

Yesterday was a prime example of no one respecting our passing game. The Vikes have a lot of experience against Joey Harrington and they didn't think he'd get it done so they attacked the running game. I can't wait until we have a solid QB and passing game. Some of our offensive weapons will go nuts.

There is no other way to put it other than we played the Minny Vikings.
