I just wanted to finally join in and officially become part of the forum I have been checking in on daily for quite a while! I have been a huge Dolphins fan since 1973, when I was 7 years old. This Hoosier, like many others in Evansville, became Dolphins fans because Evansville is the hometown of Bob Griese. While I vaguely remember the 1973 team's win over the Redskins, I do remember all the excitement about the Dolphins going undefeated. The next year, I was so excited for the Super Bowl against the Vikings that I slept in a sleeping bag in front our television. I also remember losing that classic playoff game to Oakland the following year and being so upset that my grandmother let me open a Christmas present a few days early. Since then, nothing has changed. I have been to many Dolphins games, most of them being in Indianapolis. My favorites were the overtime victory in the snow at Soldier Field in 1991 and the blowout win over the Jets a few years ago in Miami, where Ricky ran wild and Gadsden made that great one-handed catch. It's good to know that my brother and I are not the only people who talk about the Dolphins as much as we do everyday. I just wanted to introduce myself. I'll be around.

:goodpost: Welcome Rookie!!! I was also 7 years old in 1973. I can vaguely remember us losing SB VI to the Dallas Cowboys, and then I remember us winning the next two SB's against the Redskins and Vikings. Have been a fan ever since.

Welcome Hoosier...if you want to talk Fins, this is the place to do it. That got reaffirmed to me during the recent sabbatical ( the site was down for a few days due to technical difficulties). I went nuts looking for another place and nothing out there compared...

Welcome aboard Hoosierfinfan, seems we both started our love of the 'Phins around the same time. :cooldude:
