37 years of rooting for this team I am actually at a loss of words on how bad and low this team is at right now.
There is no direction for this team.
There isn't any young players to build this team on.
No amount of money under the cap can help build this team in 2 years time.
No amount of picks Miami will have over the next 3 years will make this team any good in the near future.

Lets start talking the draft
Miami will be in the top 3 as its looks right now. Best thing to do is trade the pick to acquire more picks to fill the many gaping holes Miami has on both offense and defense.
Start cutting the dead weight and mold this team with young OL and DL. Try using the money under the cap to find a WR or two and a whole new secondary.
There really isn't anything for the Phins to play for this year. Pride, screw pride, you play that every game.

Amen. We are pathetic!

Although we may be suffering from the Wanny era.

The Bears sucked a few years after Wanny left. It's like he left a hole that he himself was covering all this years. He had no future for our team and it's being exposed.

True, Wanny left Saban with a mess..
But this team may actually be WORSE than the 04 team.
Reason, we have played the NFL's easiest schedule and we have only one
win, barely, against a bad foe.
We played a 2nd place schedule in 04...
This team is moving backwards!
Wayne is paying a lot of $$$ for this pathetic team/coaching staff.
If I were Wayne I would clean house.....

IMO, we trade the 2nd overall pick (or w/e we get) for many picks like you said. We use these picks to draft O-Line for the future. We keep CPep/Harrington next year and see how it goes from there.

Agreed. I was telling someone about this the other day actually. The Bears only started to get better after about 4 years after Wanny left. So by judging...2007 will be average and 2008 will rock. I'm still behind the team either way. :dolphins:

37 years is a long time. Stay strong, your loyalty will pay off eventually Im sure of it. When we start losing the real fans like you, its really over.

Hey we've officially hit rock bottom. It could potentially be a 2-3 year rebuilding process, which means a few more years of sub .500 records. I hate to be so negitive, but negitivity is all we have right now. It's gonna be a long couple of years.

There is no guarantee that people will want to trade up. We tried this in 2005 with our #2 pick and it didn't work

Who says we wont get the first pick????

Seiously, we cant beat anyone. We beat the Titans but that doesnt mean they wont finish with a better record.

We are badddd this year. The question should be, is there anyone in college with the potential of a franchise player?

I wouldnt trade the pick away for whatever if we can end up with a guy like Peyton Manning for example.

Are there any franchise type guys like that in the draft or not?

I think its because there werent any really big names out there that people thought we'd get.

People knew it was either Smith, Brown or Edwards. So when Smith went to San Fran, odds were we wouldnt get anyone but Edwards or Brown so they figured theyd wait.

Trading up for a top 3 pick is unreasonable for a lot of teams....The team who holds the pick is gonna want AT LEAST 2 first rounders and probably a second or third. The Texans were trying before they eventually settled on Mario Williams

Well, I am looking forward to two weeks from today when we go up to Chicago and knock them from the ranks of the undefeated AGAIN (provided that the 49ers don't do it next week, which I doubt will happen). We might not be playoff bound but we have a chance to be the spoiler to a few teams.
I know there isn't much to be happy about but we still can look forward to Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day televised games. Stay Strong!
