Difference between Donator and VIP Member?

Well, the title is pretty much self explanatory and I am looking to donate or become a VIP on Finheaven, so I'd just like this clarified. What I am assuming is that the Donator can just donate money like say less than the $36 to be a VIP Member, and you want get any of the VIP perks. Am I right or totally off base?

Your Donation helps the site and could get you a donator badge but it wont get you into VIP.

36 dollars will do that.

They are seperate.

We have some donators who are not VIPs
