Glory Glory to Ole Georgia
Ok, here's a little different outlook on the upcoming season. I actually believe that the Dolphins have a chance of surprising a lot of people this season. However, a lot of things will have to occur. First, the O-line play must be superb. They showed signs of that in the Bucs games, but it's got to keep progressing. If the line plays well, we have a chance of doing a lot of things on offense. Our top three receivers aren't too shabby, and Wes Welker is ok too. Then we our backfield. What a backfield it is or will be. Ok Ricky sits out the first four games, maybe during that time Ronnie Brown carries the load and shows that he's real deal. Then when Ricky returns things will only get better. Putting both of them on the field at the same time will be a sight. At the tight ends, we'll look good and maybe this new acquisition can help our blocking. All we need is consistent play from the QB position. Whoever it is. Interceptions will happen as they are part of the game, but we need a field general that will make minimal mistakes, and put us in the best position to win. I'll let Saban and staff make that determination.
Then on defense, I think we'll be something special. We've been seeing signs of something great on the horizon in all of these games. Saban's defensive scheme will allow our athletes to use their athleticism to make plays. JT will be doing a lot of things to make the quarterback go nuts. Plus I think our playing zone more will definitely increase in the number of takeaways this year. Plus there's even talk that Mare is kicking better than he ever has.
Now I know that this might be highly unlikely since there are a lot of factors that must work for it to all come together. But the best part of the whole thing is that even if I'm completely wrong and the Phins have a horrible season, we might have a chance at that left handed quarterback at USC. He throws pretty good deep balls.
