Dude was money for us a couple years ago, got injured, released for durability / age (I assume), then had that crazy walk out situation with the Jets. This isn't a "let's sign him" thread, it's truly a "what happened to a former Fins playmaker" thread.

Dude has been made of glass his whole career. Talented but waaayy injury prone

Free agent CB Dimitri Patterson turned down a minimum-salary offer from the Seahawks.
We're not sure what Patterson believes he's worth. He's one of the worst corners in the league -- he's not even technically in the league at the moment -- and can't stay healthy. Patterson is also 31 and coming off a preseason episode when he went AWOL from the Jets because he couldn't crack a starting job for them. Patterson is "best" in the slot, but he's not even good there.

His NFL career might be over.

I'm still a little confused over the "one of the worst corners in the league" label when he was looking so good to us before his 2013 injury - the last games he played. 4 INTs in 6 games? Our glasses aren't THAT aqua and orange are they?

No. Rotoworld is just being Rotoworld. I mean I absolutely would not want Patterson here but he isn't one of the worst corners in the league. Wth that however his career is likely over because he is not willing to take what his market value is. He isn't worth anything over or slightly over the minimum

Some players just aren't physically able to play consistently in this league. The injuries take their toll. It is what it is. I'm sure his attitude didn't help things.

while he was playing well for us, he had not been very well anywhere else he went.

As for what happened... got hurt, was asked to take a paycheck, got cut, then got mad he wasn't able to win a starting spot with the Jets

Sounds like he's holding out for a management position.

he wasnt consistent for us either though, made big plays that year yes, but also tended to leave assignments and jump for those big plays, allowing some not so good palys. he was surprisingly solid though in Miami... health was always an issue. i told jets fans though when he went there, dont expect too much out of him all in all. also not good when he bsaically ran away from them... lol

Can you blame the guy? I would walk out on the Jets too...I'm pretty sure the Jets are what made him snap mentally.

The guy refuses to play injured and thinks he should be treated like he's Revis.

He's really not a bad player at all, just a complete pain in the ass. He played well in Miami, than he had that mysterious groin injury that seemed to never heal.

A remember some people on the staff saying they believed he was just milking it, and didn't want to play,

I have it on good authority it was this:

He was easily the Dolphins second best corner when healthy.
