I wouldn't be surprised if Jordan AND the Dolphins were in cahoots with the PED's he was taking. Think about it, his biggest issue was that he was not big enough to contribute like they wanted him to. Partly because he couldn't work out last season and the other part is genetics. Because he was the #2 overall pick last year, they couldn't wait 3-4 years for him to add the size he needs to be an every down DE. So they formulate a plan to accelerate the process. He put on 25 pounds of muscle in what 6 months? And nobody on the training/coaching staff questioned that? Yea right! They all took a calculated risk, if he fails a test... No big deal we are stacked at Dline, he misses 4 games but he Now has the weight to Be a beast! Now all he has to do is maintain it. Which is much easier than trying to build it naturally! Let's see how it plays out

He was reportedly playing at 260 by the end of last season. People keep comparing his current weight of 265 to his combine weight of 248 like he added all that weight during THIS offseason (6 months), when he actually has gained that 20lbs since the combine in February of 2013 (16 months).

I doubt the Dolphins were "in cahoots" with this - the risks of the team being implicated in something like this nowadays would be completely unacceptable. It's possible they "turned a blind eye", but that would be the most you could find them guilty of. I think the Fins (from management on down) want to build a winner, but also want to really keep their noses clean right now given the events of the last year (whether they'll be successful on either count is debatable of course).

The bigger issue is another failed test, which would mean missing a lot more time. I hope this is just a bump in the road for Jordan. I absolutely love his talent and see him as a potential special player who can do a lot of things for Miami.

Speed has nothing whatsoever to do with gaining weight and muscle. It is what people take to lose weight. So, this makes no sense at all. Kids in college take it to stay up and study for finals, and many get hooked on taking it afterwards. IMO, that is a bigger concern.

The team knew about the first failed test, and may have been somewhat lax in not following up so there was not a second. Don't know.

“Honestly, I think Adderall is an excuse,” said former Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder. “Now, if you get busted, you just say it’s Adderall and it goes under the rug. The league can’t come out and correct you.

“It’s better than coming out and saying you did steroids. It’s kind of like getting busted for cocaine, but telling your grandma it was marijuana. Marijuana is more socially acceptable.”

Can't we just make this guy a LB and take over for Wheeler. He can't play any worse

Not much of a difference but he was picked at 3

If the PEDs were stimulants then how in the hell can we equate that to fast weight gain?

I'm no doctor but I don't need to be to see what went on here. Coaches, players and the media all made a big deal about how Much bigger Jordan looked during OTA's if he were 260 at the end of the season, no one would have made a big deal about him gaining 5 pounds. They have drugs for all kinda of things now a days, and I don't care what they say he tested positive for, whatever he took was for the purpose of him getting bigger and stronger which they all said was his biggest issue last year. Don't be naieve people. This was deliberate and after reading and hearing how teams and team doctors treated players like Jason taylor, OJ McDuffie and countless others around the league, I really think they had something to do with it. Of course I have no proof, but this is what I believe

That is why they should have played him at linebacker in the first place. If they had done that, there would not have been the pressure to pile on the weight as quickly.

If anyone is really curious, Jordan actually put on 11 lbs. this off season when he came in for OTA's. I have read in the media since that time that it was anywhere from 10 to 15 lbs. and it even ballooned to 16 this morning. Still, it's 11 illegal pounds once PED's are involved, even stimulants as they were in this case, so it's the same result.

Was the team in on it? Only they will ever know but regardless of Dion, I'm sure this kind of stuff goes on and may even be encouraged, possibly in indirect ways by many teams. The league probably knows, but big hits, speed and amazing athletes make money so you do some testing and hand out some consequences to make it look good to the public and to avoid a future PED lawsuit from players suffering from kidney failure, cancer or whatever else this all leads to someday. But I have no doubt...I agree with the original post that the team certainly could be implicated any time this happens.

This is getting ridiculous, you can take a preworkout powder that you drink before a workout and the ingredients can make you test positive for stimulants. Jack3d anybody? Old formula has 1,3 dimethyl in it. Banned by the NCAA and NFL, could have been something as simple as that.

The black helicopter theories are funny. You people always need someone else to blame.
