According to Armando and he's likely to play at TE some today! This could be the week we make noise in the red zone.

For the Dolphins it means something utterly unexpected might happen. Think Dion Jordan at tight end.

With Clay likely out, the Dolphins may ask their versatile and athletic defensive end to take some offensive snaps. It is not unprecedented. J.J. Watt does it in Houston. And Jordan has been asked to do unexpected things in the past -- such as cover New England tight end Rob Gronkowski last year and Detroit wide receiver Calvin Johnson earlier this season.
Jordan may be out wide or on the line as a tight end, depending on the situation.

No, not all the time. But in the red zone? As a 6-6 target inside the 15 yard line?

Absolutely a possibility. Sources tell me the Dolphins have been working on this the past week.

Was recruited at Oregon as a TE I believe. This could be... Interesting at the very least. Regardless, it gives teams one more thing to prepare for when facing us.

Not that I have a problem with trying it, why practice it while the media is present at practice ?
seems to me, keeping it in your back pocket for a surprise would be useful

It's not silly if you have essentially zero REAL TE talent. Especially for red zone.

Jordan is one of the best athletes on the team. Find him reps where he'll make a difference.

If that happens to be TE b.c our regular TEs are a stable full players that are to TE what Hartline and Bess are to WR, then roll the dice.
