Overview
While both are freakish athletes, Clowney has had some 'motivational' or 'work ethic' concerns, while Jordan never had these issues.
While Jordan shied away from bench press due to strength issues, Clowney has done same with the 20 yard shuffle, with possibly not so eye popping change of direction skills.
As a fin fan though, I do believe Clowney is far better to suited to a 4-3, while Jordan a 3-4 or hybrid D. Clowney is far better against the run, stronger at point of attack, while Jordan has more agility and better in back pedal with experience of going back in coverage.
With these comparisons, some quite similar, other not so, would you trade Jordan? If so what would it take?
IMO I would trade him. Atlanta would have to give up far more to get to no.2 than they would trading for Jordan. In Mike Nolans D I think he would be a star. It would also give us the realistic opportunity to draft one of Robinson, Matthews or Lewan.
Jordan is a square peg in a round hole in Coyles D. 2014 he is likely to be a situational player once again. Who will aid the Dolphins more, Robinson, Matthews, Lewan or Dion Jordan?
