Dion Jordan - Jadeveon clowney combine comparison

He wasent fully healed from his injury. He should be 100% let's see what he's got. Only way I trade him is if it's for top 5 pick

he wasn't fully healed but we played him anyway, that sounds pretty stupid even for our coach esp on special teams. I don't buy it

Well that happens when u have Ireland drafting for u for six years lol.
I still think Jordan will be a good player in this league, while I cant compare him to Clowney because honestly I haven't seen him play. From what I`ve read, they don't seem like the same type of player at all though. I don't expect Jordan to be a sack machine as I don't think it`d be wise to use him strickly as a pass rushing DE, he`ll get his fair share double digit (10-12) sacks a season but you should be able to get INTs, fumbles and breakups from him too, that's where his value lies... While someone compared Clowney to Kearse, if its a fair comparison, then we`re really not talking about the same type of player at all... There`s this misconception floating around that the only way to get creative with Jordan is to move to a 3-4 D, it really doesn't hold any weight IMO as there are plenty of assignments you can give to your DEs besides just rushing the passer...

Hey I don't really follow college football you very well might be right, its just funny how you very rarely compare our players favorably with other teams players... Cant fault you for that as being on the negative side these days is +EV prediction wise... But hey you seem to like Tannehill , so all is not lost...

Have you looked at our record over the last several years? The reason he fails to compare our players favorably with other team's players is that, for the most part, our players do not compare favorably to the players on winning teams. There are some individual exceptions (Wake, JT are examples), but they are exactly that: exceptions. The fact of the matter is that our drafting since back when Wannstedt took over the team has been abysmal. Absolutely abysmal. Six years of Jeff Ireland only made the problem worse. Facing the reality of the situation is the first step towards fixing the problem.

Read my post and realize yours was kind of unnecessary ...

I wanna see what Jordan can do with the extra strength he's adding this offseason now that his shoulder is allowing him to add strength. If this not happening then he isn't worth a good UDFA.
We have to assume he's bigger and stronger, cuz if he isn't then this makes drafting Ted Ginn look like drafting Jerry Rice.

I would trade Jordan and our first round pick to move up and draft in the top 5. Maybe we could ask for a 5th round pick thrown in. We need an impact player. If no one wants to do that with us, then we just keep Jordan, our pick at 19, and hope for the best out of each.
We're probably scrapping the 2014 because it seems like no quality FA offensive linemen will sign here because their current teams can take advantage of the raised salary cap. Once again, conditions don't favor us.
Yes, I'm being negative cuz I'm discouraged about us being able to fix our horrible offensive line.

I will happily agree with your observation. My only justification is that this topic is a hot button for me. I have spent the last two and a half years arguing on this board that Jeff Ireland was destroying this franchise. I and others like me who held this position have been strenuously ridiculed by the majority of this board for our beliefs. Now that our analysis has been proven true by mediocrity-gate, wide receiver-gate and offensive line-gate, I plan to spend many opportunities to remind those who thought Jeff Ireland with enough time would be the savior of the franchise of how absolutely wrong they were. It may be vanity, but it is one of the only rewards available for being right.

Clowney is all about the money, not sure if this freakish guy will ever be what everyone expects him to be. His attitude is worrisome for me ATM.

I am of the opinion that Ross should of cleaned house because philbin in all honesty is not or ever will be a great head coach. It is what it is. My hope is that hickey knows how to draft talent to our squad.
