Dion Jordan possibly back for Buffalo

I'm still aghast here. The NFL is ****ing up royally. First it has severe domestic abuse issues dating back as far as Goodell has been commish since 2007. Now they're very close to providing a more lenient policy for drug and PED offenders. WTF? I'm I the only one who sees something wrong here?

Barnwell and Mays were suggesting that Jordan would be a good candidate to deal to the Colts, who are hurting for a pass rusher...

Great idea for the Colts, trade a 1st rounder out of desperation for Trent Richardson, now trade a high pick for Dion Jordan out of desperation. I don't know how that'd end for them.

I think what's happening is that amphetamines are being moved to the substance abuse policy instead of the PED policy. Someone feel free to correct me, as I haven't been following this particularly closely, but that's the gist of what I have been told.

Correct. They are not making a more lenient policy for PEDS…they are just moving marijuana and amphetamines out of the PEDs classification…because they aren't PEDs. Im sure there are other parts of the agreement as well though...

It would be an interesting decision because if Jones and Jordan came back, then regardless of whether they're active this week they count on the 53 man roster whereas before they were exempt. Which means -- like I said, regardless of whether they play -- two players currently on the roster would have to be released.

That could put us in a pretty brutal spot. Hopefully they would allow us some leniency but if they don't I suspect at least one more of the rookies will end up on IR.

Leniency isn't the NFL's game, unless it's dealing with itself, of course.

Seamster would be the obvious cut. He's a secondary player, same as Jones (Wilson could move back to the slot). The next would be Orleans Darkwa, I'd think. We're not deep at running back but they're also easier to find.

That would be perfect. Dion Jordan's ideal spot is as a 3-4 OLB. And the Colts run a 3-4 defense.

Chip Kelly (Dion Jordan's ex-coach at Oregon) also supposedly likes Dion Jordan. And the Eagles also run a 3-4 defense, so that would be another good place for him to land.

Dion Jordan is a great athlete, but he's on the wrong team.

I think moving them out of the PED classification is a bone they are throwing the players to get them to agree to HGH testing. At least that is what I am understanding from what bits and pieces I have seen and heard.

Exactly!! Lol!....and if Starks doesn't play that 5-2 might be a real possibility

Dline: Jordan Vernon odrick Mitchell and wake
Linebackers: rotation and different combos between trusnik freeney Jenkins and McCain....what u think?

McCain in space isn't a good idea IMO. put him on the edge of the DL and let him rush. that's what he's good at.

i'd cut Bruce Gaston before i'd cut Darkwa. but it's true, a RB would be easier to find if we needed another one

I have zero confidence in Dion Jordan.

I am with you on this one, I can't remember if it was the 3rd or 4th preseason game but Dion played the whole game. It’s like they wanted to see him make a play to give them confidence, he was in there against 2nd and 3rd guys and did nothing. He didn't even have a QB pressure, that game alone made me see why some people are down on him. I just do not think he has what we think he has.

We were running the 5-2 with 3 DT's every time I noticed us employ it, so I don't think we'd use that group - except for obvious passing situations. And McCain is a better pass rusher than Jordan, so I'd be hesitant to play Jordan over McCain in those situations.

i doubt even if he is reinstated he'd play sunday...unless he's been allowed to practice with the team all week...if he hasnt been able to have contact and be in the building they'd sit him at this point anyways

so, basically we ran a 3-4 with the edge rushers lining up on the line

Maybe he can give ej Manuel a little love tap like he gave Andrew luck.

I'm over Jordan. Jeep cutting the Ireland cancer from this team. Trade him to chip Kelly and be done with it.
