Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan won’t be activated and won’t play this season, per multiple reports.
Jordan, who’s on the Dolphins’ non-football injury list, was able to return to the field in late November and practice for the first time in two years. He was suspended for the whole 2015 season for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substance policy.
Tuesday marked the deadline for the Dolphins to make a roster decision on Jordan, who’s on the NFI list due to a knee injury.
The third overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft, Jordan has three sacks in 26 career games.

if they dont think he can help at this point might as well say goodbye now

So sad someone with such potential throw it all in the garbage. We may never know his real story. Could he not deal the pressure? Was he always just the pot head? We've had some major league draft busts the 80s between underachievers, tragic deaths, injuries but this may be the worst number one draft pick ever for this team. An irony as we moved up to get it. My gut feeling is sometime in the next three or four years will be reading about Dion in the obituaries

How much cap savings just to cut him now or should we wait till the season is over?

I get the criticism, I do. But under Gase he has been working toward a return. He hasn't made a mistake. This delay is because of injury not his work ethic. Until he screws up under Gase he remains a talented question mark with a tiny room for error.

Exactly my thoughts. Guy is finally on the right track it appears, I don't think now is the time to cut him. A year ago yes, but now you've got to let it play it out - and cut bait at the first sign of trouble of course. Wrong or right, the team has come too far with him now to not at least see what he offers in camp next year.

Now is the big test. Can Dion dedicate himself this offseason and come back in shape and not test positive for any substance?
Can we make this guy move in with Cam Wake for the offseason and see how he returns next year?

By far the biggest draft bust in Fins history and clearly a top 10 all time.

Most draft busts just dont live up to the hype and fail in the pros.

This kid didnt even play a meaningful ****ing snap. 40 tackles from the 3rd pick, what a waste.

Typical dolphin first rounder. Ted gin Jason Allen yatil green Jared odrick mike always hurt pouncey desoftie Parker John Avery vontea Davis Jamal fletcher....cut bait and move on
