Does anyone have an answer as to why Dion Jordan hasn't been used at OLB, similar to the way Denver utilizes Von Miller? We traded up to the number three pick to get this guy, and I don't see him passing OV or Cam on the depth chart anytime soon. Why not stand him up so we have all three of our pass rushers on the field at the same time? He's definitely an upgrade over wheeler in coverage, and can rush the passer. Someone please explain to me why this hasn't happened?

What? A football question?...we haven't got time for football bulls***..when we HAVE to talk about the toxic
power structure within the Dolphins!!! Are you crazy???

LOL...

Its Irelands fault.

But seriously... Prob has to do with his shoulder injury. Play him sparsely during his rookie year to learn, recover and develop. I expect him to have a much bigger role next season. Either Wake trades and he plays DE (doubtful) or he replaces Wheeler which is more then likely the plan.

Right now they're not using anyone since our season is OVER.

Ozzy rules!!

An off-season to clear the shoulder injury and bulk up he will be a force next year.

Probably has something to do with us having a crappy DC

When did the FIns ever utilize someone that would make another team gameplan against a particular player?

We don't know the answers to any of these questions but dolphins coaches have spoke about his weakness against the run a few times. We drafted a project coming off an injury so it may take time or he may not be what some people thought he was. He was never a full time player in college so we shall see

Is Jordan really any worse in his first year with bum shouler and all, than and Ellerbe and Wheeler at the point of attack?

He is a perfect fit as a 3-4 OLB and a very good fit at 4-3 OLB. He would def be an upgrade over Wheeler. I am also wondering with Misi's contract begin up, maybe he replaces him next year?

"Marino"

Yea, lots of superbowls won with that gameplan. Maybe if they had a runner or better D that would be true.

More current: Bush, Wallace, D Jordan, L Miller, all misused and no gameplan to provide a mismatch for opponents.

If his only weakness is against the run I'm all for replacing Wheeler with Jordan next season. Wheeler was difficult to watch.... he's freaking horrible. We've all heard the rumors that Wheeler may be cut, but all I'm hearing is that they expect Jenkins to get his reps. I haven't heard anything about Jordan.

there was a "speed package" that was utilized to rush the passer with jordan, wake and vernon all on the field at the same time. i don't remember who was "the outside linebacker" in that formation, but i wouldn't be surprised if it was jordan. as for outside linebacker OR defensive end on running downs, they didn't play him at all (for injury, strength, experience, etc. reasons).
