Does Dion Lacey give us more depth and potential starter role. It's hard not to dream about the CFL success we have enjoyed with Wake. It would be really great to have someone in-house to fill our LB needs. Still need to draft 1-2 LB's this draft, but it takes some of the pressure to do so early.

He first needs to make the team.

I think he spells it 'deon' though

Well ... I'm definitely tempering my expectations.

Wake is the exception that proves the rule IMO.

Anything is possible but he seems like more of a special teams / backup LB type . . . Replacing Paysinger.

A goal for him would be being active on Sundays.

I wish him the best of luck. still a longshot. His bet bet is special teams and depth. It's not the worst situation to be in considering our lack of talent after Alonso and timmons

Special teams/depth, but you never know. I'm not comfortable at all with Koa Misi slotted in as a starter. And it's not just because of the health concerns. He's an average player.

Nah, when healthy he's an above average and solid SAM. Very good vs the run which helps keep both our safeties in Cover 2 and our CBs in press.

I am probably in the minority but I like Koa as our strongside backer. I think he is perfectly suited for that position. Weak and Middle no thanks.
Let's face it. He'll never be a playmaker but on a 3rd and short he's money. He's extremely tough against the run. In person he looks like a DE.
In JVille two years ago, I couldn't even tell it was him at their hotel. Huge dude and a tough guy. We'll still get our playmaking Lber we all are dying to get IMO

If this is the fusion of Dion Jordan's work ethic and Eddie Lacey's dietary habits, then no. I'd say no, he probably won't make the team.

In that case, he'd be sitting with Dion Jordan comfortably on his couch smoking and drinking lol What a waste of talent. Luckily that draft sucked which helped out a little lol not much

The myth that Koa Misi is even serviceable should have died along with is career last year, hopefully he doesn't die on the field after getting run over.

That is not even a joke, I truly fear for his life, but not as much as I fear he will cost us by even being on this team.

At this point I am confident in Lacey contributing more for us than than Misi has in the last several years. He is the team's remaining dead weight.

There's not a better run defending front 7 member on the team besides maybe Suh.

I'm not a big fan of Misi at all, but he's solid enough in run support to be labeled the average player that he is. He's serviceable, but a guy I'd rather only have to rely on for depth. But yeah, I can't blame anyone for having a strong opinion against him. People tend to either like or dislike average players more than they should..... Understandable.

My knocks on Misi are pass coverage, although he's not asked to do it much, and he's no play-maker. No, FF, no TFL, no "big plays at big moments." But I'm a fan. He's workman-like, pretty good in run D, and consistent.
